Maybe the prostitue housewife from season one, will get out of jail and want to exact revenge against Bree. I'm guessing Paul is in jail for life? 5 years obviously isn't enough time when he was framed for the death of Felicia Tilman. Maybe she'll come out of hiding?

We need to rejoice that he might actually be gone! We've bitched every other season about how much we hated him and how terrible his acting was! This might actually be a good thing... Though I doubt he's really gone, I'm sure we'll be forced to rehash the Mike/Susan will they ever get back together storyline. The same one we've seen played out nearly every season. Oh joy! Oh and it was nice to Mary Alice back on screen once again, I love her as the narrator but it's always nice to see her in a flashback.

But after seeing the 5 years later snippet, I think this gives show a jolt of energy. There's only so many "mysteries" that could occur on that street year after year. Plus, fans of the show will be speculating about what has happened to all the characters during that 5 year lapse. Me thinks next season will be full of flashbacks a la Lost.

For some reason they seem to think he is beloved. That's gonna be a tough sell. None of the ladies really looked 5 years older either. Gabby did look like shit though. I dunno it shall be interesting...funniest part of the finale was the scene with Susan, the nurse & the balloons. I'm a little over the finales ending with a bunch of folks held hostage in someone's house at gunpoint while they spill the beans about their deep dark secret(s). What is this, the third time?

The one on the bed was hilarious, I almost fell over laughing when they showed her. Oh wow, they're getting rid of all the teenage girl characters? That link said Julie, Danielle, and Dylan, are all gone after this season. Not surprised on Danielle as she hasn't even been in this season in the past like 10 episodes, but Dylan sorta surprises me since they gave her a big role this season, and Julie definitely surprises me. I figured this time jump was to give the teenage characters more to play with, but I guess instead they're using it to get rid of all of them? So much greatness it's hard to pick. I'm torn on the five-year leap, but I think it will be very fresh and new. Once we get past the initial hurdle of buying it being five years later, I think we'll be fairly set. BEST LINE OF THE NIGHT: "And if there is a dime missing I will throw acid in your face!"

That was the main storyline all season long and it was just like a meh ending. That was the lead up all season and the whole thing literally unfolded in like 10 minutes, it was too rushed. Usually they keep you guessing the entire time throughout the season with their main catch (Mary Alice's death, The Applewhite mystery, Orson and his mom even though it ended prematurely). Generally, the answer to the season's mystery doesn't disapoint, but this did. I bet they probably wanted to do more with it but the writer's strike ruined that. Thank God for that five year gap, that saved the ending of the finale. Everyone thought it would have been a flop, and it was better than I thought of. The producer was right, there was only so much they could keep doing each season and would grow stale (it already was starting to) and now the 5 year gap basically allows for anything to happen, next season is going to be like a new series premiere, it's going to be a blank slate. (fat mexican kids of gabby kinda seem annoying though )

It was such a touching scene between him and Lynette. That sucks that Julie is off the show, as with most of the other teens. I figured they'd bring Danielle back with a storyline where she wants custody of her child now that she's matured. I doubt that Edie is gone, I'm sure she'll be back! It sucks we have to wait all summer for new episodes. I hope it'll be worth the wait. The surprise ending/twist hooked me, I think it should put a lot of life back into the show.
