ROADBLOCK/PIT STOP: In this Roadblock, the chosen team member will have to make their way across Hachiko-Kojima, one square at a time according to the above map, to the Pit Stop (located in I10 at the top of the lighthouse). However, every five minutes during the task, one square will become a "danger zone" as per BR rules. If a contestant walks in to a danger zone during this time, they will be forced to go back to their starting location of D6 and start again. The team member must run in to the lighthouse, where their partner will be waiting for them, then run up the stairs to the mat. The last team to check in...MAY be eliminated.

ROUTE INFO: Teams must now make their way by ferry to the uninhabited island of Hachiko Kojima, one of the Izu Islands off the coast of Tokyo (and counted as part of Tokyo itself). Hachiko Kojima is perhaps most known as the location for the film Battle Royale, based on the controversial but renowned book of the same name. T-JUNCTION: This is the first of two T-Junctions on the racecourse. The T-Junction forces a team to go in two seperate directions and locate two parts of a code that will open the T-Junction cluebox back at the original location, allowing them to take their clue and continue on the race. There is no task particularly involved, but the T-Junction will hold a team up and cost them money.

DETOUR: Hamasaki or Stefani


In Hamasaki, teams must locate songs from one of legendary J-Pop star, Ayumi Hamasaki's numerous best selling albums. They will be given one of the albums, then they must run to an internet cafe and find three of the singles' videos on YouTube or a similar site. Once teams have posted all three videos, they will be handed their next clue.
