Hate to burst your bubble, but these people are not "wannabe" line chefs, but have had, do have and will have their own restaurants when "Top
Chef" is over. And not because they win Top Chef". They are already accomplished chefs. They are talented. If you want rinky-dink line cooks,
watch "Hell's Kitchen".

so cook me a meal you buy from a quickiemart. or a vending machine. you "already accomplished chef" you. and find me an "already accomplished chef" that will microwave any meal ever. ever. deny, ignore or rationalize as you will. "wannabe" line chefs is a complement for these fucks... |

Okay, and all those tedious Quickfire and elimination challenges are certainly worth suffering through if you get, what is it? $10,000 plus a new car if you
win. If they deal with it and win, it's worth all the tedious tasks.
Top Chef isn't for wannabe line cooks. It's for (minus Nikki) accomplished chefs who want to prove that they can get through any task (whether it be catering an entire wedding with no more than a day to prep for it or making airline food or cooking the best fucking microwaveable baby food EVER) and deserve the win. They're not pulling McDonalds workers and putting them onto the show. All of the contestants are either executive chefs or sous chefs and deserve to be there (excluding Nikki). |

IMHO, I think it is confirmed by the caliber of guest judges they get on that show. Those people would be caught dead appearing on Hell's Kitchen. |

Why is Richard just not likeable? Thank God they've not focused on him so much lately.

Yes, it was superficial... but most of the time, IMHO, haircuts like his are on the top of dickheads (or lesbians). He has shown himself to be likeable, to me, as the show has progressed. He's a little goofy and he can cook. |

Richard and Dale are my favorites. If anyone's unlikeable its Spike and Lisa. What the hell are they still doing there?

Richard and Dale are my favorites. If anyone's unlikeable its Spike and Lisa. What the hell are they still doing there? Richard, Dale and Stephanie for me. Spike has his moments, but Lisa is SO damn negative, and so quick to point out annoying traits in others that she can't see in herself I can't stand it. Though Dale does have a bit of a temper (though being up for almost 40 hours would strain anyone's self control) he's definitely coming off better (on a while) then Lisa is. |

I like Antonia. I think she may win this one.

Richard has not said a single negative thing about any of the other chefs...He just seems like a stand up guy who cooks really well....Watch they turn him to
an evil villain to justify a Steph win but either of the two winning will be miles away from that douche Ilan

It gives me visions of hair in my foie gras. So keeping their hair short makes a lot of sense if that's your chosen career. The faux-hawk allows them, they think, to inject a little personality into a short haircut. I'm not sure it does, but I can't hate on them for it. |

Dale is fucking sexy. And the fact that he's an asshole makes him even more so. Damn it me and my bad boys.

long hair and long fingernails have NO place in a kitchen. or jewelry for that matter. I hate seeing Paula cooking in her diamonds. gross.
and these are great chefs. extremely talented. they do own their own restaurants or are executive chefs at other top restaurants. the black guy from Dallas on another season (Trey, maybe) was on iron chef. sure, as a sous chef. but the big chef was his boss from the Dallas restaurant. so Trey didn't come into this as a night cook from Denny's. and some of the quickfire challenges are specifically designed to test their skills. like identifying foods by smell, their chopping skills, their ability to think quick on their feet and pull something out of nothing. shit, show me a line cook that can cut a chicken like hung. to this day, Tom is still impressed. I wish they would have a gadget competition like they did last season. Richard would be in his heyday. GO RICHARD, ftw! |

It just makes me snicker that Lisa thought she was sabotaged. Let's see Dale and Richard have won multiple competitions and Antonia and Steph have won at
least one competition but you, Lisa, are the one that someone is so threatened by that they needed to sabotage your rice?
Oh, I get it, it was Uncle Ben, because you did not use his rice for product placement. |
