It was like watching Satan's sister on steroids. One of the worst and most embarrassing performances in the history of television.

Am I the only one who find it entertaining, laugh out loud funny? |

^^ They are laughing at her, not with her, there is a difference. You can stick a fork in it, because this bitch's career is DONE!

Didn't they already do a movie of The Color Purple?
Fantasia was a trainwreck the other night. Not having watched her season, it left me questioning exactly how dreadful the others must have been that year. It was hilarious to watch though. |

I only sat through 20 seconds of the first one..so forgive me if it got better
Based on that, Jennifer should have won hands down IMO. But, if she had've won...would she have an Oscar right now? |

The Color Purple was a movie that was turned into a Broadway musical and is now being turned into a movie musical. That's how it goes these days.

LaToya usually sounded screechy to me, but Diana had a terrific voice for a 16 year old (but also had a few disasterous performances), and Boomie was
phenomenal. I couldn't believe Fantasia won (Shummertime notwithstanding) but I don't think she's going anywhere. There's obviously an
audience for her, and with Oprah in your corner, you're golden.

^^^AMEN.
I will bet that this movie will sell as much as how many people watched her LAUGHABLE lifetime story on TV. ZERO! Christ, she's such a fucking failure, doesn't matter who backs up this fat stinky bitch. Even Ryan Tedder couldn't help Blake Lewis cuz he's an asshole. Now Orca can't help Mantasia because she's a no talent crackwhore. |

Swim4life is right. Mantasia's Lifetime TV movie got very good ratings, and even her second CD went gold (barely), selling as well as Elliot Yamin's CD
and Clay's 3rd CD. So rather than making up stories that unfairly minimize Mantasia's moderate (but declining) commerical success, we should
concentrate our efforts on discussing her complete artistic failure and ghetto trash photos. Mantasia is such a disaster as a singer and her behavior since
winning is such a disgrace to the show that there's no need to distort anything. The truth is grisly enough.

The Color Purple is one of my favorite movies of all time. Loved it. Haven't been following the Broadway musical--is it supposed to be good?

how many people watched her LAUGHABLE lifetime story on TV. ZERO (for people who don't understand sarcasm)There I fixed it myself. Like what the fuck does it take for a Lifetime TV special to reach that status? 20? Maybe 30 viewers tops? Bahahahhahaa. I remember the ratings being less than stellar comparing to any other network. And don't scream "Ohhh Lifetime isn't as popular and all that horseshit because supposedly, a BIG NAME LIKE MANTASIA should be able to boost ratings all by herself." 8trackmind, you must remember, Yelly Clarkson got shit on for selling 750,000 albums, Mantasia sold 250,000 less and people are going to proclaim Mantasia's album something that is NOT a failure? It is lucky to sell 300 a week now, and I can see it easily making the 100 club very soon. Both musically and profit-wise, her album was a disaster. And you must remember you are making unfair comparsions 8track, this SLUT WON American Idol! The other 2 didn't! Which makes her sales look even more pathetic. I can see this next one tanking. |

The show closed in Feb and there is a tour now. LaToya London is playing Nettie in the tour. Lakisha from last season played the part of Sofia for the
matinees and was the church soloist for the other performances (the Broadway show, not the tour).
