Agreed. It seems like they just couldn't think of any good new ones, so they just decided to make a more absurd-looking evolution to something that already existed. However, I do like the addition of Leafeon and Glaceon (I'm a sucker for Eevee evolutions).

A bigger complaint I have though is the tendency toward better power-up/stat changing moves that have no real downside or consequence. Like Bulk-Up for example. It doesn't lower anything! It's just a cheap move. Where are the moves like Curse, which lowers speed? They seem to have tamed that down by Generation IV though.
