they did this thing a while ago about "ky warming jelly". ummm... the last thing i want to feel down there is a "burning sensation". been there, done that. no thanks. but this new promotion "his and hers" or "yours and mine" or whatever that is. that shows some creative thought. i am impressed... |

I have some Massive Hate for drug companies (I know, who doesn't?) but I saw this commercial today for Celebrex that had the audacity to make an outrageous
claim: THE BENEFITS OUTWEIGH THE DETRIMENTAL SIDE EFFECTS! Oh, my God really? How wonderful! What a great selling point! Your drug might actually help
someone more than it's making them puke, giving them rashes, and causing heart attacks!
So much bullshit. God I hate drug companies. |

I hate the Dairy Queen ads with the smarmy little girl who forgoes getting a sundae of her own because she knows the little boy who's eyeing her will buy
her one. Then she tells her wide-eyed mom, "It's like shooting fish in a barrel." Despicable!

They're driving around in their cars, just waiting to stroke out in front of you on the highway. Don't go to the doctor and for fuck's sake don't leave the house! Why do they even bother making commercials for this particular drug? It's used to treat schizophrenia psychoses. Those people aren't likely to tell their docs, "Oh, I'd love to try that new medicine I saw on TV the other day". They're too busy making tin-foil hats. |

Why do they even bother making commercials for this particular drug? for the same reason now that everything is classified as "syndrome" or a "disorder"... medically identified, so now a drug can legally be prescribed to fix it. get up off your fat ass and walk about a bit, or don't eat that shit that causes you heartburn, is so less compelling than "you have a syndrome" and "we've got a drug to cure that" to most people. so hell yeah, don't get up off your fat ass and walk about a bit, or don't eat that shit that causes you heartburn. just watch your tv until you find a drug that matches your "syndrome". then march into your dr. office and demand treatment. and then maybe cry for universal health care because you refuse to get up off your fat ass and walk about a bit, or don't eat that shit that causes you heartburn. yeah, that's the ticket... |

Okay.. here's new deep irrational hatred for a commercial...
The Reddi - Whip commercial with the little girl with a stupid hair style who goes "knock knock" and the replies with a "shhhhhhh" noise to indicate she wants whipped cream on her freaking breakfast. Then the stupid reddi-whip guy shows up and makes breakfast wonderful with his stupid can. The kid and the mother only eat a mouthful of that crappy Reddi-whip and are happier than pigs in shit. (I told you it was an irrational hatred.. but it makes me rant.) |
