Also, I thought PB&J were taking it easy on Dwight because they felt bad for his situation with Angela.

The practical jokes are alright if they're funny, but Dwight trying to convince Pam that she wasn't talking to him was downright stupid.

Amy Ryan was great, I loved her character. In fact I appreciated her more when she wasn't doing the yoda stuff. Keven being handicapped was great, probably
one of my favorite episodes so far. Everyone was at their best and the script was great as well.

Any geek - any person with the basic knowledge to operation a cell phone - could figure out how to stop the prank. But they do this with Dwight all the time. I still can't get over the Ben Franklin incident. |

The retard bit with Kevin was brilliant since they didn't even have to alter his character in the slightest way.ECKS This was by far the best part of the episode b/c it was classic Kevin but classic Kevin can easily pass as a mentally challenged adult and Holly thinking he was provided some funny moments. The rest of the episode was a big bad Meh. It's entertaining but I like the characters but in terms of a comedy, it really fell flat. I feel like it's getting a bit too dramatic for my taste.. Loved seeing Jan since I heart her and Creed not knowing what his job was was great. Also love how everyone is constantly playing solitaire on their computers. |

The cold opening and the "Kevin is retarded" bit were classic Office, but the rest of the episode was just dog shit. This season was just absolutely
atrocious. It's no longer a clever, intelligent comedy, it's turned into an over-the-top soap opera.

the Toby exit interview was great. Watching Michael try to read his obnoxious questions in the nicest way possible was great. The whole gift of the rock and
Michael trying to blame the staff only to be burned by Dwight's honesty was classic. The whole thing was topped off by Pam forcing Michael to give Toby
his watch as the real gift rather than lose face with the new HR woman. This was a very underrated yet greatly written and acted scene.

I am nit picky. One thing that bothered me. Michael set his alarm on his watch. Then Toby reset the time, yet it still went off at EST.
Otherwise good show, I want more Angela and Phylis fighting. |

I really enjoy Phyllis' constribution (altho the "calling for an anti gravity machine" segment was cringeworthy) especially when she blitheley
knocked the documents off Angela's desk.

Dwight has never reacted to any situation with intelligence and calmness, why should he start now?
It would ruin the character. People criticizing this show - if your suggestions were used, we would end up with no show. Nothing would happen. |

kitty white wrote: I totally agree with that. It's ok to poke fun at Dwight and watch his reaction but I wish they'd stop the buffoonery. Dwight might be a little
nuts but he's not an idiot. It was like having Michael not know who H&R Block was. It ceases to be funny when it reaches too far.

I have a feeling that Toby will spend about 10 minutes in Costa Rica and we'll see him again next season a changed man. He's one of the
writer/producers of the show. On the other hand, maybe he'll move over to Andy's new show.

excbexcb wrote: My point exactly. Dwight is allegedly smart enough to figure out how to survive on his own in the wild, and can retain obscure knowledge on subjects like beet farming and is a Battlestar Galactica-obsessed geek, but lacks basic common sense. I actually DON'T think they're consistent with the way they write his character and it makes me dislike him even more. Whereas in the original UK version (groans from the peanut gallery) Gareth was an obsequious, socially inept know-it all, who fell for and was irritated by Tim's pranks, he wasn't cartoonish. As for Angela, on occasion, her character makes even less sense. |

Wow, I thought for sure this would be a home run episode for everyone. I read up on what was posted since I've been gone today, and I read someone saying
it was too comedic, and someone saying it was too serious. Is that even possible to mess up? I could understand it if EVERYONE said one of the 2 complaints,
but how can a show be TOO comedic and TOO serious at the same time?
If you want to be so nitpicky about a show, watch LOST with us at 9 on Thursdays. You shouldn't have to search for criticisms about a show. |
