This call to action is not just for people living and working in California.
Do you ever hope to marry your same-sex partner?
Does someone you love ever hope to marry their same-sex partner?
Does injustice just tick you off?
Then you've got to dial.
The California Supreme Court ruling striking down the state Defense of Marriage Act is of huge legal and social significance for the United States. Governor Schwarzenegger has said that he won't support a state constitutional amendment in California to ban gay marriage. Opponents of Marriage Equality including the religious right are carpet-bombing the Governor with phone calls to change his mind. The governor's office has an automated system that counts the calls supporting and opposing the ruling on marriage equality.
Please take a few seconds to add your voice in support of Marriage Equality: Call 1-916-445-2841
Including a redial (the line was busy) it took me less than 15 seconds.
Thanks, |

Just out of curiosity, I looked up Romans 9:13 which is referenced in those signs the !@# haters were holding.
I don't get it. Unless gays are the 'imperfect vessels' n that verse, what the hell are they referencing? |

New York Times | Robert D. McFadden | February 2, 2008 06:42 PM
A New York appellate court ruled Friday that valid out-of-state marriages of same-sex couples must be legally recognized in New York, just as the law recognizes those of heterosexual couples solemnized elsewhere. Lawyers for both sides said the ruling applied to all public and private employers in the state.
