Daughtry will eventually surpass Clay and reach #3 on the charts.I doubt it. Cookie is a far better artist with a far better personality, plus he is a real rock musician. He'll take over where Chris and his blurry band can't go. Cookie's album will sell like Daughtry and Chris's next album will um...not. |

Daughtry is on his way to 5 million with ONE album.So is Cookie even though he hasn't recorded it yet. Chris just passed the 4 mil mark. At this rate it will only take him a year and a half to reach 5 mil. If ever. |

True, at 20K albums a week, it'll taken Daughtry 10 months to pass Clay. However, his second album will be released this fall, so he should hit the 5
Million mark (with two albums) sooner.

Expecting Cook to sell 4 million albums is unrealistic. Sales in the music industry have gone down even from the time Daughtry released his album.
2 million would be outstanding, all things considered. |

I don't even have that high of expectations. However, I'm thinking he'll be lucky to go platinum with CD sales as they are now. IF huge sales
should happen, that would rule, but it will all depend on how good an album he puts out.

anything with Cook's album selling between 1.5 mil and 2 mil will put him in the Top 10 selling albums for that year. 2 mil today is the 4 mil of years
back.

We came in a little under 4,100!
Doesn't sound like a ton, I know, but for the CCM market right now it is pretty great! We sold a ton on iTunes, too, which, again, for the Christian
market is a great thing.
Just so there's no freaking out...in the Christian market, people find out about the album with the single going up the charts. The higher the single,
the higher the number of plays, the higher the number of impressions, the higher the sales. So, for having a #18 single, it is pretty freaking great!
CCM has no centralized media...sure, there are websites that do great, but nothing like tv and mainstream radio marketing can do. Usually, people find CDs
as they wander through the Christian book store OR (as I mentioned above) hear a song on Christian radio, find out who it is and buy it.
This is going to be a slow build and I'm glad...no Idol has ever come off and really done a grassroots thing: get in a van, travel the country, play,
play, play, play and connect. That is what I'm gonna do. My label is pumped (it's their highest debut ever!) and distribution is pumped! Now, the
more shows I play the more you'll see sales trickle in. Hopefully Empty Me can reach top 5 on the charts and then you'll see more sales than even
this week. It's seriously all about the songs!
