Naaaaaaw, come on Sun - there have been LOTS of introverts on the show before, but you could still see the thought processes rolling behind their eyes. And several of the "quiet ones" have been fan favorites. In fact, it was often the fact that we could see the thought processes rolling behind their eyes, while their mouths stayed closed, that made them fan favorites Also, Amanda's competed in multiple pageants - she's not exactly hiding out in a library, doing everything to avoid the spotlight. She should know how to speak coherently, intelligently and convincingly Instead, she's had not one, but two final jury performances that were inches away from being "Uh....I believe that our education, like such as in South Africa and....uh....the Iraq, everywhere, like as such......uh" Introvert..... Introvert..... Introvert..... Introvert..... Vacuum......

That was ONE. I noticed that Parv just kind of stood there and smirked and let them get all over each other. Well, that was Parvati's winning "Strategy" in a nut-shell. Alexis said in some interviews that her/Natalie/Erik where planning to go to the final 3, and that they had the numbers because Cire was on her side. In others she said that she wanted to take Parvati/Natalie/Herself to the final 3. She wouldn't have gotten to the final 3 at all with Alexis/Natalie. Amanda finding that idol and sticking with her got her to the final 3. I think Cire is a played a lot better game then Parvati did. I don't know how she could say she was at the bottom of the alliance though. Parvati chose to side with her and take out Ozzy. Even though they voted Ozzy out, Amanda stuck with her.They had a final 3 deal and both Amanda/Parvati kept it.

Maybe Ozzy and Amanda will go on Amazing Race and narrowly lose that, too! So here's where Cirie REALLY screwed up: she should have cut a deal once Parv lost. Tell Amanda if she drops out now, she'll take her to the end. It was what would have gotten her to the final, and she'd have to take a gamble against a potentially tougher opponent. The handicap that Cirie had was that she hadn't seen Amanda's lackluster jury performance in China. If she had known that, she might have been more comfortable with Amanda as a final partner... she was totally planning to take Parv because she knew Amanda had Ozzy and James locked up. Poor Cirie. She's the Janelle of Survivor... just can't win that last competition to get herself into the finals. And finally, WTF was Natalie's question? Was she calling Parv a whore, or hitting on her, or trying to be funny? Did Natalie have visions of her and Parv being the lesbian Rob and Amber or something? Cire really should have tried to make a deal. I think Amanda would have taken it thinking that she could have gotten Parvati's vote.

Watch Cirie's Ponderosa clip, Alexis says it was "bittersweet" that Cirie joined them because she [Alexis] wanted Cirie to win so bad. Couple that with the fact that in one of Amanda's interviews she says the girls on the jury (Alexis, Natalie, & Eliza) hated her. It was really "Pick your poison" for Amanda. Lose lose.

If Amanda faced Cirie: Amanda gets Ozzy, James, Erik, Parv. Cirie definitely gets Eliza, Jason, Alexis, Natalie. We have a tie, but if Amanda had to backstab Parv to take Cirie to the final, she might lose her vote. Best case scenario for Amanda is a tie, and I'm not 100% sure that she'd have Erik's vote locked up if she faced Cirie. I would have to assume that Cirie would do well against a jury, and Amanda would appear even more lackluster than she did against Todd and Courtney, and that would give Cirie the edge she'd need to win a potentially close vote against a tough opponent. However, if we have the ladies in the final three, Amanda has Ozzy and James for sure. Parvati keeps the votes of Alexis and Natalie. Cirie has Eliza and probably Jason. Erik casts the winning vote, and it seems as though that would be for Amanda... unless Cirie can manage to swing him (or Alexis). The thing is, the votes that Parvati got would split between her and Cirie, whereas I feel the three that voted for Amanda would vote for Amanda pretty much no matter what. Oh, and watch my words: the next time they do one of those seasons where there are returning Survivors, Erik will probably win it. Who the hell would think he'd be a threat?

We can speculate forever what "woulda, coulda, shoulda", but we can't be sure. I base my opinion on how easily Cirie seemed to persuade people all season. I was convinced that Cirie would win and hadn't felt that sure since the early days of Pearl Islands, when I declared Sandra would win. I think I'll decline to make a prediction from now on. It can be too... yeah, that. Oh well, at least I see why Parvati won but I don't have to like it. Hi Trix! How'z it goin'? Love ya and miss ya!

She's very persuasive. I think she'd likely have drawn Eliza, Jason and maybe Erik. Once again assumptions were very costly here, as Jeff has said many times before - never assume. Amanda's big mistake as it was not telling Cirie to truth (and what she wanted to hear). She wasn't selected because she was Amanda's biggest threat.

I agree with croc, Cirie may have been swayed if Amanda told her what she needed to hear and what everyone knew; that Cirie was an exceptional player who would have won hands down and she couldn't risk that and that Cirie deserved to be up there with the way she played this game especially since Cirie was in a hard spot to win physical challenges and everyone knows this. At the very least, Cirie would have considered the vote more Amanda may have even squeaked out another vote by either Jason or Eliza if she addressed it the right way and spoke emphatically and clearly and stated how she actually had to work harder than any scheming Parv may have done. She lost Ozzy and was in danger of being voted off herself, she went and found that HII and she turned that vote around. She won the last IC's in order to get her at the end and while Parv did form relationships with Alexis and Nat, she was there to do it WHICH provided Parv a buffer, she was never in any danger but Amanda was and she had to work that much harder to stay safe. And she should have told Alexis (who btw, I'm sorry I just CANNOT stand, I think she is a self entitled immature little girl who believes she is a sweet little thing and she ain't that sweet) that this is a game and who would have YOU voted out Alexis if I didn't have that HII? Oh me?? Okay, well then I guess you can respect that I played the game and you got voted out. and this does not take away from Parvati, I think she did very well; the season as a whole was incredible but I would say that Parv got at least ONE vote by complete mind fukk flirting so she didn't change her game play all that much heh. and Natalie?? The self professed strong independent woman who takes no shit? Miss Independent got suckered into sweet talking like a naive schoolgirl so me thinks she needs a reality check on how jugularish she really is.

Going into the finale, I had thought Amanda would be the popularity threat. It wasn't until afterward we saw that Amanda had people on the jury not disposed to voting for her and that Parvati did. I don't think we can definitely say that Coach; I think it was entirely possible that Cirie could have voted for Amanda BUT that depended entirely on Amanda. It's easy for any contestant to say after the fact (and the vote) that it wouldn't have mattered and they would have voted how they voted. I think that if Amanda didn't have her breakdown and call Cirie out on feeling like the bottom of their alliance and answered her questions in the FTC with more conviction and told Cirie what we all know (that Cirie was too dangerous to take to the end and was clearly going to win this game) then Cirie may have changed her vote. Croc is right also, Eliza's vote was up for grabs - Amanda blew it and Parvati beat her in her jury speak. For me, there were only four people whose votes were done deals even before heading into the FTC; Ozzy, James, Natalie and Alexis. Those four knew exactly who they were voting for without any doubt in their mind.

Perhaps you are right about Cirie's vote still being winnable by Amanda, and I may have been too definitive about Amanda not being able to get it, but I really think that Parvati had the edge. Parvati and Cirie made many of the same moves and for Cirie voting for Parvati, she is also validating her own way of playing the game. And, ultimately, Amanda was the one who booted her and prevented her from getting into the final 2. Whether Cirie consciously held that against her or not, the sting of that experience after just one day after having thought the game had a final 3, I think at the very least subconsciously worked against Amanda. I also don't think Erik's vote was up for grabs either. He said he had been leaning Amanda. I'd be interested to see what Ozzy's pathetic jury speech had on Jason (possibly working against Amanda) and Erik (possibly working for Amanda). James/Ozzy and Alexis/Natalie were the solids. We don't know what the tie breaker is, but if it's a mini-challenge, definite edge to Amanda. My big fear is that the tie breaker would have been whoever got the most votes in the Sprint popularity contest. What utter bullshit. I don't mind twists and swaps, but the fundamentals should be known beforehand. The castaways should know the basics - final 2 or 3, how many jurors, and how deadlock ties are resolved, so they can scheme and plot adequately. My other pet peeves is that all votes should be read, even "extra" ones after a majority. But then how many MESSers, even SEASONED MESSers, were biased pro-TERRY, against all reason, against Aras? Her strategy was the same as Boston Rob's, to try to FOOL the others, to build a Cult of Personality around her. Rob FAILED. TWICE. The whole, "Stir the Pot" strategy, to get everybody to play HER game, succeeded. It WAS a Cult of Personality as Alexis and Natalie, ready to go DOWN on her at the final TC, proved.
