The lady in the audience is David's mom. I went to his homecoming event last Friday and she was there. I think the stage manager is the woman who came onstage during Idol Gives Back and adjusted Brad Pitt's microphone (also from Missouri BTW) and made the joke about "just wanting to touch him."

Okay, thanks for clearing that up.
I thought it was weird that the stage manager would be in the audience crying and standing up for a performance. Besides Archuleta's dad wouldn't have been able to see David's mom's reaction, he could however see the stage manager I guess and get pissy about her reaction. |

OK, after watching David's homecoming, how could he NOT win? There were tons and tons of people out to see him, both in Kansas City and Blue Springs. He
got the star treatment, and he looked every inch the star. Unless the bulk of his fans are not the voting kind, I'd have to say he's got this thing
locked up.
AND: it's just as we all knew, next week is The Battle of the Davids.
