Another night at Wrigley, another Cubs... oops. It rained constantly from the fourth inning and I was soooo glad the umps didn't call a rain delay. It was a long enough night as it was.
Reasons the Cubs lost:
1. The Cubs 3, 4 and 5 hitters went 0 for 11 last night.
2. The clutch hit just wasn't there when needed. They had their chances.
3. Marquis was pitching. Why does he turn into Dr Jekyll during the fourth or fifth inning?
4. My winning streak had to end some time. Hey, ten in a row ain't bad!
5. My elderly mother wore her Rich Hill jersey ( a Mother's day gift from my nephew) while she watched the game at home. That guy is just pure bad luck this year.
