Yeah, they told me 18 months too--at 27 months I threatened the dentist with bodily harm if he didn't take them off. It helps that I'm 3 inches
taller and twice his age. They come off May 23. I also talked him out of the permanent retainer. I pointed out that if one of the points was to floss and save
my gums, that putting something in that was permanently blocking efficient flossing would be moronic. I think I would have put up with it all better if it was
about vanity instead of utility.
