Hey! None of that nonsense Fluffy!! It would be just my luck to miss a couple 200 point questions on the last 2 quizzes and end up in 14th place, lol!

I suppose a 300 point question might be fair. And the question probably needs to be one of the famous a,b,c,d,e,f,g ones. How many times.....
Just no essay questions please. LOL |

I kind of have mixed feelings about high-point questions for the last two quizzes. I would be kind of bummed to be passed by someone who got one of those
right when I've been doing pretty well on the quizzes all season. However, it is more fun taking the quizzes if you still have a shot to be number one. I
would say maybe two 300 point questions (one on each quiz) would work. That way you still might have a chance to move up. It should definately be a mutiple
choice question if you decide to do it.

You know what really screws me are the multiple choice questions. Back in the day they were like A: (0-3) B: (4-6) C: (7-10) and so on. I know that makes it
easier, but it also cancels out most of the debates we have over one bandaid and such. We've had a couple of questions thrown out because we couldn't
come to an agreement. I know this is all for fun and it wouldn't be so interesting if we didn't have something to argue about, but there has to be a
better way to keep from throwing questions out or accepting more than one answer. (even if that helps MY score.. sometimes it has helped but when it did it
also gave everyone the same added points, kwim?)
I griped about it when Pagong threw in those dang 400 and 500 point questions. That shit was brutal. If I was in the middle of the scores or bottom, yeah I'm sure I'd want some help gaining ground, but is it really fair to those who have consistently stayed near the top to drop hard right at the end? I mean, sure we could eff it all up without the high pt questions as well, but that would be on us and not because high point questions were thrown in to help those not in the top. Last season I missed 2 quizzes and still clawed to second place so my thoughts are if I can, so can everyone else. I didn't get any bonus stuff to get me there at the end. I moved up way before the end. (I know this is gonna piss somebody off) Oh and btw, iirc and def could be wrong, the high pointers were those spans like I mentioned above so it was helpful to those who need to move up AND the ones already near the top. Does that make any sense? Anyways, of course I will go along with whatever Scamp wants to do with only a minimum of bitching. :) Happy Mothers Day to all the moms! And congrats to the high score folks this week. Oh.. Cheyenie, how dare you pass me!! <3 eta: What Cheyenie said!

ITA with Felicia and Cheyenie. I missed a quiz or two last season as well, and I got no extra help at the end. I'm (probably) not going to pitch a fit
if you decide to do it, but will be grumpy. For, like, a whole 10 minutes. Maybe even 15.

Well, now that you guys have stated your opinions I can see where you're coming from. I agree. It really wouldn't be fair this close to the end of
the season.
No matter what, this quiz has been a huge blast & I appreciate everything ya'll do to keep it going & fun. I love the debates it brings too. It makes watching the show so much more fun. Where else are you going to find rabid fans counting bandages & "dudes"? |

I know, right? I get frustrated but it's a hoot when I tell people (who aren't quizzers) I'm pissed I missed a question by one nickname or two
bandaids.
Cindi - I wouldn't be grumpy for long either. I'd give it at least an hour though. I think we should find something to do during the hiatus. Kinda like my survey. Maybe some Lost trivia games, but no scoring or anything like the season challenges. Any ideas? I don't get into the online related Lost sites during breaks so keeping something going here from time to time might be fun. |

I like the idea of creating our own surveys and quizzes during the long, long hiatus. We really should do that. It would be fun. Maybe each of us could take
turns coming up with a quiz or survey each week.
ETA: Felicia, a girl has to do what a girl has to do. I'm trying not to step on too many toes on my way to the top.

This is just my opinion, and I don't mind whether we have really high-point questions or not, but I think the second part of the finale is two hours,
right? You might already be planning it anyway, but it'd be nice to have that quiz be twice as long and therefore worth at least twice as many points (but
because of more questions, not necessarily because of higher-point questions).

Weekly Quiz 4.11 - "There's No Place Like Home" | ||
|
Weekly Quiz 4.12 (Part 1 of Season 4 Finale) aka "Click those ruby slippers, we're going home!"
Once again it's time for the Official Weekly Quiz. If you've never played before, you are most welcome to join in the fun! Here's how it works: Post the answers (i.e., C, Yes) AND ONLY THE ANSWERS to these questions by Thursday, May 15 at 5 pm Pacific Time. PLEASE DO NOT RECOPY THE QUESTIONS INTO YOUR POST. Once you post your answers, you may not edit them (we don't allow pussy edits). And just to be absolutely clear on this point, for an answer to be Yes, we must see it happen on screen (i.e., we must see someone eat a spoonful of cereal on camera, not just fill a bowl with cereal). So, without further ado, here's the quiz! 1. Will any of the Oceanic 6 drive a motor vehicle? (50 pts) 2. How many people will wear sunglasses? (150 pts) a. 0 b. 1-2 c. 3-4 d. 5-6 e. 7-8 f. 9-10 g. 11+ 3. Will anyone turn on a flashlight? (50 pts) 4. Will anyone have an injury bandaged on camera? (50 pts) 5. Will anyone play a game (i.e., Risk, backgammon)? (50 pts) 6. How many times will Sawyer use nicknames for people? (150 pts) a,. 0 b. 1, 7 c. 2, 8 d. 3, 9 e. 4, 10 f. 5, 11 g. 6, 12 h. 13+ 7. Will Desmond mention Penny? (50 pts) 8. Will there be any subtitles this episode? (100 pts) 9. Other than the soundtrack, will any music be heard? (50 pts) 10. How many people will have t.ears running down their faces? (150 pts) a. 0 b. 1, 7, 13 c. 2, 8, 14 d. 3, 9, 15 e. 4, 10, 16 f. 5, 11, 17 g. 6, 12, 18 h. 19+ 11. Other than the episode title, will there be any reference to "The Wizard of Oz" (i.e., red shoes, verbal reference)? (100 pts) 12. Will anyone mention Alex, Karl or Danielle? (50 pts) 13. Will Hurley mention his lottery winnings? (50 pts) 14. Will anyone mention the Smoke Monster? (100 pts) 15. Will anyone drink any alcohol? (50 pts) That's it! Good Locke, everyone. BTW, did you read the instructions???? Well, do it now then. |

O.K. Miss Scamper I have quiz related questions this week.
For injury bandaged on camera, do you mean we need to see the bandage or that we need to see the act of the injury being bandaged on camera? For the game question, obviously board games are included, but is that it? Are sports included in this or just board games? Inquirying minds want to know .... And for anyone who is reading this, what is the deal with the Mole motif? I know this was originally the Mole forum, but can't it share with the Apprentice or something? |
