My Personal Top 5 Finales

5. Amazon - Jenna's sudden positive edit gives the 2 hours a completley fresh and interesting dynamic that it wouldn't have had otherwise. Also, Rob pursuing the win that he clearly deserved (although dipicted terribly) and the feeling that America was slowly getting behind him throughout the season gave it a personal feeling of excitment. There is nothing AMAZING in the episode, but it is just a nice cap off to one of the better seasons in the history of the show. The jury wasn't bitter in the least bit, which is always a downer but watching Jenna just demolish Matt during questioning is always a fun watch. Reunion is good although slightly un-structured. All in all, a very well done finale that I rank above 11 others.

4. Marquesas - Marquesas for my money up until this season with Erik had the best pre-finale episode in the history of the show with that epic TC surrounding Sean. The build up for this finale was also through the roof with the Central Park Reunion Show, the audience getting behind Kathy going for the win, and just the overall feel the season had to it from episode one. Marquesas was such a strong TC season overall and the fact that this episode bared witness to the "Purple Rock TC", Kathy'e elimination, and first real bitter jury at FTC just made for an unbelievable episode. The endurance challenge had a very intense feeling to it as well. The reunion was enjoyable, Rosie did a decent job, but it was visible that they were all freezing.

3. Micronesia - I know that this is probably a bit pre-mature but my hype level for this finale was at a level it hadn't been since ASS and on first watch last night it surely delievered. Erik's blunder on Thursday only added to the quality of the Finale before we even saw the opening re-cap.Nothing overly special or important about the first 20 someodd minutes but the sudden Amanda and Cirie TC conflict was just the spark we needed to be lit for the episode to take off. The drama that continued between the two of them when they got to camp and the anxiousness of not knowing whether it would be F3 or F2 were perfect elements that added immensly to the quality of the episode. Although the final IC should have been holding the Immunity Idol, the ball on a stick challenge was a great watch and for me personally very dramatic. Amanda's crying escapades at F3TC gave me a good laugh and the suspense of me not fully knowing for sure who she would take was nice. I loved Final Tribal. The Jury came through in the clutch. The right person won imo and the reunion was really enjoyable for me. Great, great episode.

2. Borneo - So I know that not everyone will agree with this but 2nd ain't nothing to bauk at. Everything about this episode made it an instant classic. The nation's hype level for this was obviously at an all-time high as was mine, even as a youngin'. I want to get into details but I would be describing pretty much everything about the episode. Everything you saw meant something and added to the quality of the episode and the season overall. The episode had a feeling to it that is just impossible to describe unless you watched it live as it aired. The reunion was un-charted water at that time obviously but it was extremley enjoyable for what it was. Amazing episode that is only topped in my mind by...

1. All-Stars - Just hear me out on this. First off, valuable information to know would be that All-Stars is my favorite season. More valuable information would be that I am pro-Romber. With that said the season long build-up to this season made the Finale that much more important. Not since Colby and Tina had a meaningful alliance of 2 prevailed to the F2 and I wanted to see it happen. With that said, the Season Re-cap for this episode was brillantly done, I get chills every time I see it along with the Intro Credits. The opening breakfast they had just felt important and the rest of the episode took off from there. Jenna voting out Rupert was a pretty big shock at the time. The fallen comrads segment was done perfectly, the "hold onto the idol for dear life" was epic even after Jenna got eliminated because of the Rob/Amber fighting it out factor. And then of course the greatest jury in the history of the show gave us the greatest FTC and just greatest TC overall in 16 seasons. However what puts the episode over the top for me is the reunion and it's utter craziness, feel of at times legit danger, and it's surreal aura. Best for my money, and Amber can smell it.
