Fluffy, I think Claire is already dead. She died in the house explosion. Or maybe she just died partly. That's why she was seeing things (as she told Sawyer later in the jungle; I wonder if she was seeing Christian or Chaarlie?). I think that also explains why Miles was so interested in Claire. Cuz you're right, Claire would never abandon Aaron in the jungle under normal circumstances. It's also out of character for Claire to call Christian "Dad" and to go with him willingly anywhere. But if she's dead, well, that changes things. If Daddy Christian tells Claire that she's dead and needs to leave the living Aaron behind so he can get rescued and taken off-island, she'd do that in a flash.
Preggers in real life? Perhaps. They did have her sort of reclining in the cabin, and she's been holding Aaron in front of her in most recent scenes. Or maybe she's just gained weight and they're doing their best to cover it up. She did have a doublechin in the cabin.
