Actually, Eric said that now he is Ozzy's monkey! This is a truly dark and dysfunctional Father-Son relationship. Lol.

The last two seasons have not been kind to FF-4.
I think the evolution of the game from the early seasons of clueless players to the latter seasons of players who know every twist and turn in the road has made them too aware of the Family dynamics. We've had seasons starting with Guatemala, where players have commented on those attempting Mother roles, etc. Even with the new twists added, players have a well-know road map through each season. |

I agree with you, FLF. It is too bad, as it makes every season seem the same. The kids outnumber and try to kill off the parents. I find it interesting that
the M this season, Cerie, is masterminding so many boots. Reminds me of S2! Could this be the first season the women actually end up coming together and making
it work?

So yall think Erik intentionally positioned himself as the monkey, once the E role was vacated? (If that was his strategy going in, that would explain the hair
and the shorts, too.)
I still think people's "true" roles come out when they're stressed, when all their attention in on necessities, not on controlling interpersonal actions. FF4 demands more starvation! |

I'm starting to think that Erik, like Chris in Vanuatu, might be the last man standing. If he's really lucky, perhaps Amanda, Miss PeeWater, Alexis and
Natalie will start fighting for the daughter position and give Erik a hall pass right to the F4. My guess for F4 right now is:
M: Cirie D: Miss PeeWater S: Erik D: Alexis or Amanda |

Could this be the first season the women actually end up coming together and making it work? Bingo, Lady V. It would be a record-making all-female F-3. And we should get some satisfaction out of seeing Cirie make it to at least F-3 if we have any luck at all. All women, with a Mom included. Not really a bad outcome for FF-4, at least statistically. |

I'm rather puzzled by how popular Amanda is and how unpopular Cirie is in comparison. I guess Amanda changed her game to befriend everyone in her tribe; in
China she said she pretty much stuck with Todd and ignored the rest. So, good for her!
However, I don't know why Cirie isn't considered a threat as well. We haven't seen anyone saying they dislike Cirie. I don't think Cirie's been fighting with anyone. It looks to me like she has a pass to the F3 because no one on her tribe thinks she can win. I don't see why they think that, but if that's what they think, then they are probably right. But then, they don't think Miss PeeWater will win, either. Maybe they are all delusional. Next to get the boot: Erik or Amanda. I predict F3: Cirie, Miss PeeWater, and Natalie How would the jury vote? Who knows! My guess: Alexis: Natalie Eliza: Cirie Ozzy: Cirie Jason: Cirie James: PeeWater Amanda: PeeWater Erik: ?? Would he follow Ozzy's lead? Or would he think for himself? Is he closer to one of the F3 than the others? I don't have a clue what Erik would do. |

Miss Scamper: It's interesting to see Mother Cirie and her two Daughters smoothing things over with each other. The Sister alliance disappeared quickly, once Eric won immunity. Parvati spoke of having a strong bond built with Amanda. My guess is that the Mother+Sisters alliance will hold together to the f-3. I don't see the relationships that Natalie has formed to break that bond. She may be a good goat to drag to the jury, but the Mother-Daughters alliance seems too old to be broken up. My F-3: Mother Cirie Daughter Amanda Daughter Parvati |

Well... F4: Cerie (M) and three daughters. Quite an unusual season. S16: D,D,M,D I'm looking forward to Africa. If it's anything at all like S3, it
will be brutal. Perhaps FF4 will then be able to re-emerge...

~~**~ FF4 PREDICTIONS ~**~~ SEASON 16: FANS VS. FAVORITES weird season, lost 3 people unexpectedly
1) the F6 will contain an E, an F, an M, and some kids. (12 of 16 seasons) **Nope. No F, no E. 2) F4 will not contain two people with the same role. (11 of 16) **Nope. M and three Ds. 3) There will not be 2 Fs or 2Ms in the F6 (0/15). **CORRECT! 4) the F2 will not be two dads nor two moms. (0/15) **CORRECT! Now the FF4 predictions for F2 and winner: 5) the F2 generally will not be two kids. (4 of 15--but this is trending upward lately) However, in the rare case the F2 is two kids, at least one will be an "unusual" child with strong "adult" (leader) tendencies. **Hm. I think both Parvati and Amanda were kids. Amanda had a heck of a time booting Mom Cerie, though. 6) the winner will not be E. (0/16) **CORRECT! 7) If a parent is in the F2 with a non-parent, the parent will win. (7/8) **n/a I wish Jeff had asked if Cerie were F2, who would've won. These are both outside-of-FF4 predictions from wayyy back when that have held up most seasons: * At F4, the second most likeable has the best chance; the least likeable (Natalie?) can't win (Kirblar's observation). Not sure who most likeable would have been. Amanda? * The most popular person going into the F3 has NEVER WON the Final IC (Craig's observation). Not sure who that was--Cerie?

Lady V wrote: Amanda was most likable, as evidenced by the fact that she was the only woman to get in the top three for America's vote. So it seems like that last rule is wrong, and the second most likable was Cirie, and she lost. Also, rule 4 is redundant, given rule 3, it seems. |

Thanks for the great summaries, LV.
This season had all those evacuations, plus mass stupidity by the idol-holding men. It gutted the Father pool as well as the Eccentrics. The Mother- Daughters alliance had the ring of some truth to it, though. Cirie, despite her attacks of paranoia, anchored and advised the Daughters at key moments. And the age difference came into play again, as the daughters' bonds were stronger than with the older Mother figure. Interesting to speculate on why Amanda chose Parvati over Cirie. Friendship? At that stage it was a toss-up. I think the desire to win was what ultimately motivated and Mother was seen as too skilled to beat. In a Mother-Sons situation, the deciding Son would certainly take the Mother over the rival Brother. Here, the women were on the same footing, sexually, and Mother became the most skilled (threatening) rival, rather than a rival sibling. |

Interesting that you didn't view Natalie as an Eccentric. She may have been young, but she didn't come across as a Daughter type. Even when her mom
came on the Reward, she was shown helping her navigate the stairs. Not a Mom role, but not a Daughter either in my opinion. It's a minor thing, but it
would meant the F4 was D, D, M, E.

She may have been young, but she didn't come across as a Daughter typeI thought she was definitely a Daughter or more accurately, a Sister. She had all her bonds with women her age. She was spoken of by Parvati and Alexis in a sisterly/peer way. She was shown holding hands with Alexis for comfort in the rat cave. "Eccentric", here, doesn't necessarily mean odd or outlandish behavior, though they often include that. Eccentric means someone who fits in with the family group but doesn't fit any of the main family roles. An Eccentric isn't a confused role. A confused role is what we've referred to as a "failed" role, someone who doesn't relate well to the others as a sibling, nurturer (Mother) or leader/provider (Father). Eccentrics definitely fit right in and seem to easily get included in a strong alliance. Chet and Kathy were definite Eccentrics. I think Ami came closest to being the Favorites' Eccentric this season, but not in Vanuatu, where she was head Sister. She lost her alliance early, though. |
