Now that's interesting to me. After the first episode, anyone playing edgic fairly would have had Alexis on the radar. Obviously, if you read up this season, I did. By the third episode nearly everyone had jumped off. I was one of the few who didn't. That's the problem with some of the logic - if she was supposed to be in the finals, and Parvati's edit is soooo bad (as we've seen stated) and Cirie's first episode was fluff (which some stated) then why wasn't Alexis staying up there near the top? Because most Edgicians, sans the dumbass me, didn't buy Alexis anymore, and according to you she was to be in the finals, don'tcha think more people would stay on board her train, if they are trying to cheat by being spoiled?

Amanda was written off quickly. Natalie immediately with an INVisible start. Where were the cheaters trying to bump them up fromthe beginning? They never came up. Because playing Edgic straight up eliminated them. And I will say straight out that half the late debates or more for Amanda were either Relynn or Parvati haters, who simply can't get fandom out of their system, when Parvati was the best choice.

That leaves Parvati and Cirie. I can't blame most in Edgic for keeping Cirie in it. I eliminated her in episode 1, I went by my own rating that her first episode (UTR1) was worthy of discoutning her. Group consensus barely kept her in it (UTR2) and after that, Parvati trumped her every time. If I read this thread right, the week after ProbstFan mentioned that Cirie went from possible finalist to eliminated late (I think that's what it looked like) she actually picked up a couple winner votes in Edgic. How does that mesh with cheaters in Edgic? Shouldn't she have lost all support? By the end it was 80/20 Parvati, the right call and the best one.

Parvati had a textbook edit for a winner. Except that unlike Quiddity's erroneous feelings, there is no one "winner edit." Edgic is, in its most basic term, very simple. You look at how somone was in each episode (rating), if they were positive/negative/neutral (tone) and how visible they were (1-5). Add them together. The winner will be in the middle of all three things combined.

What we've learned over time is that it is a sliding scale. When the early boots of a season are high visibility (China), then it leaves room for a winner to be more visible, a la Todd. When there are so many low visibility players (early Micronesia, Guatemala) the winner won't be as visible as Todd was, since that would not be near the middle of the scale.

That's the basic guide. It isn't that all winners are the same, which at least to me is Quiddity's arguement (please correct it). It's that they tend to be in the middle. But the middle is different each season. Our job is to rate everyone fairly to see where the middle hits. Nothing amazing, or more importantly, condescending bout it. Stop reading spoilers and try it. Playing Edgic is actually fun. Why not give it a chance?
