Granted, his past 3 years havnt been his best by any means, but hes one of those guys whose always owned Wrigley. That could get us an everyday center fielder, and give Pie some time to work things out in Iowa.

Well something weird happened in the 9th innning. Mets are ahead 8-3, Cincinnati is batting in the ninth. They got the line-up mixed up and the wrong man goes up to bat. Takes a swing or two and then they realize it was the wrong guy at the plate. The umps had a 15 minute discussion went to the rules book and called the batter who should of been up out. Then they allowed the guy who was up take his real turn and he goes and gets a single. Shouldn't they have called both men out. It was so strange. I don't recall this happening before, do you?

I would think you'd know more about search tags, considering all the time you spend perusing Phillies blogs. Bottom line, the point you wanted to make, if any, got lost in Cyberia. Search/tag/etc..did all that and still no Eckstein came up. Think I'll pass on looking again.

I caught the end of some discussion on this on the radio when I was coming back from Mom's today. Apparently this actually has happened 77 times since like 1900 and happened to Mets the last time 13 years ago. So I guess it's rare but still happens, sort of like the cycle. YW.

New York at Detroit was rained out and will be made up later. Toronto at Cleveland was rained out and will be made up today as part of a doubleheader (old school 2-for-1). NL: New York, Florida, Milwaukee, Chicago, San Diego, San Francisco, Houston. Atlanta at Pittsburgh was rained out and will be made up today in a 2-for-1 doubleheader. 13 games are slated for today, including those 2 doubleheaders. Ernie Banks would be proud.

It's hard to believe he's the first starter that's won a game (besides Sheets) in almost a month.
