Sorry, I forgot. There will be no more war once the dems are elected. No soldier will ever die again in combat.

nor that idiotic statements from the dems are based in fact. For the love of all that is holy, turn off Fox News, Merkyl. MCSAME said it. |

Yes, he said it but they always cut out the remainder of his comments, which were along the lines of Iraq aligning with our current Korean and Japan situation
and as long as their was no loss of life.
Why isn't anybody looking at Congress and holding them accountable? They promised if elected, to cut off funding which would have essentially ended things now wouldn't it? |

The Dems lack of exit strategy for the soldiers in Germany and Japan 60 years ago always sends me on nubber-like rage.

You can't blame nubber, she doesn't have the attention span to read past the headlines.

I still don't believe Americans would be for adding another Germany or Japan to the balance sheet, even if the killing stopped. It was a reckless thing to
say. Which makes him interesting, but not necessarily president.

Why? We had troops in Germany for a reason, to have a presence there during the cold war. What's wrong with having a presence in the middle east?

Yes, he said it but they always cut out the remainder of his comments, which were along the lines of Iraq aligning with our current Korean and Japan situation and as long as their was no loss of life.Do we really think there is ever going to be "no loss of life" in Iraq? Iraq is an entirely different animal from Korea or Japan. Five years after we were in Korea or Japan, no American soldiers were dying. Here's McSame in February, 2008: "My friends, the war will be over soon … for all intents and purposes-although the insurgency will go on for years and years and years," McCain said yesterday, trying to explain why he said in January that it would be "fine with me" if American troops stayed there for 100 years. "It'll be handled by the Iraqis, not by us," McCain said.So the insurgency will go on for years and years and years. Does McSame not understand who is doing the killing of American soldiers in Iraq? Oh, that's right. He doesn't know the difference between Sunni and Shiite. :eyeroll |

And Merkyl? If you only care about your pocketbook, maybe you should consider this:
The cost of John McCain's long-term 'presence' in Iraq through 2085, $3 trillion. Social Security's predicted shortfall over the same period, $4.3 trillion. Link, but Merkyl will be dead in 2085 so he won't give a shit |
