I'm sorry, making Rebecca someone else's daughter just to capitalize on all the fangirls who want to see her with Justin is just about the worst case
of audience pandering I have ever seen.

^ The Justin+Rebecca storyline is gross. I finally started liking her after hating her all Season 1, and the show is undoing all that >: ( |

I was hoping the VP storyline was leading up to the break-up of Kitty and Robert. Damn.

Kitty is a wish-washy bitch. She urges him on to take the vice president slot, then she changes her mind. This isn't a weekend in the Hamptons. Its the
fucking Vice Presidency. Who cares about your fucking embryos, you bitch! "I just want you to want to." What a castrating harpy.

The brother / sister romance angle is just icky gross!!! I can't believe the show is going there. Is this supposed to help their ratings? It makes me
just want to TURN THE TV OFF!!!
Anyone else notice all the birds on the soundtrack? They were really loud and frequently used. At first I thought it was birds outside my house - I kept pausing and unpausing my TiVo. It was definitely part of the soundtrack - way over done. I like Kitty because she's such a peevish bitch. She's realistic and thus an interesting character. I loved her scowling at the nurse in the doctor's office when the nurse starting fawning over her husband. Besides, the show had to figure out some way to get them out of the presidential race - unless they wanted to just become the next West Wing. I'm sure Rob Lowe wouldn't mind.... but that's not what this show is... I love the sibling dynamics on the show. It makes it all worth it.

Really can't believe they went there. Talking about writing yourselves into a corner. Now neither Holly nor Rebecca serve any purpose. Does this mean
that the Walkers are going to fight Holly for her piece of the family pie?

Bump for tonight's episode
The good: 1. What a sweet proposal...... 2. Saul finally comes out 3. Kitty and Robert (kinda cute) The bad: 1. Shock!! They're not brother and sister ! As if we didn't see that a mile away.. 2. You know Holly's little salvation deal will come back to bite the Walkers in the ass... |

Surprisingly, I enjoyed this episode a lot. I'm not sure how I feel about the insanely OTT business storylines, but the acting was off the charts.
Steven Weber looked ghoulish in some shots. Cutting his hair would help. Is he gone now? Kevin's proposal to Scotty was so beautiful. I think that has to be somewhere on the top of great gay TV moments. And then they even kissed, which I never take for granted since even in 2008, gay kisses cause hysterical campaigns. Kevin's always been one of the biggest reasons I've watched the show, and tonight was such a real step forward for him, one I almost never thought would happen.

I like that they made at least some of the Justin story comical.
The proposal was sweet. Nice seeing Kevin as the most stable, drama-free member for once. Also great to see a stable, loving relationship between a same sex couple. |

Family business drama is defo more interesting than the campaign.
Sarah better be part of next week's road trip or else.

That was a really good episode! I'm glad they whipped this show back into shape for the final two.
I was sitting there toward the end, and I was literally thinking to myself, 'damn this episode is good, why is it so damn good?' and then they cut to Coulter-lite and Nanny-Fucker and I realized part of its strength was the absence of Kitty and Robert for 95% of it. Maybe a little plane crash storyline is just what the script doctor ordered. (for Robert, not Kitty who is merely dragged down by his shittiness) |

Kevin and Scotty were the only good thing about the episode.
I thought the unraveling of Justin and Rebecca's friendship was over the top. I know Justin isn't perfect, but it didn't ring true that he would so quickly condemn Rebecca given his own inappropriate feelings for her, and all the other bullshit he's meted out in the past. And how the hell does Holly get to claim any type of high ground after Rebecca confronts her about her paternity? And worse, she gets to be the "savior" of the family business thanks to money that was never rightfully hers in the first place? If this were AMERICAN IDOL or BIG BROTHER, I'd be compelled to start a seething HOLLY hate thread. I was hoping Sarah would reach across the table and smack the smug right out of her. I can only hope that next week, Nora gets up in that ass. |

The more I think about it, the more Justin's outrage makes sense. He opened his soul to her about his desire for her that he had to suppress because she
was his sister. Then after he has bared all, and is trying to cope with it, she tells him that she's really not his sister. He would NEVER had have to have
had to deal with all the crap he put himself through if she had been truthful to him in the first place.. which she promised she would do.
Now he's angry at himself for opening his mouth and angry at her for letting everything happen and lying to him. She's the easiest target to be most vocal too and it allows him to vent his anger at himself at her. (or am I thinking too deep for the writers of this show? :)) |

Seems like Justin went from 0 to 100 on the sisterly lust way too quickly. Truthfully, I expected him to struggle with these feelings much, much sooner which would justify the explosion in the last episode. Guess the showrunners spent way too much time on Kitty. |

Chuck, I was gonna say the same thing. He felt betrayed by her, and lashing out was his way of dealing. I think he will ultimately come around to being
friends again, just not so soon. She has to earn his/the Walkers trust again.

I was totally thinking that Saul is going to commit suicide--it seems that maybe they've set it up to go that way with some of the dialogue in last
night's ep:
"Saul's wasted his life..." "How do I live as a gay man at my age?" "He'll be okay..I think." Plus at the end of next week's preview when the kids are all telling Nora they've got something to tell her... I like Ron Rifkin as an actor--loved him on 'Alias', but his character has been dead in the water and is only occasionally revived on B & S. Maybe tbtb have realized that it's enough just to keep all of the popular storylines going. The Saul gay thing was always kind of boring to me anyway because Kevin was set up as "the gay one" from the start so it seemed like an afterthought with Saul. Dunno, just my opinion. JP |

Interview with Ken Olin and David
Marshall Grant. They talk about thirtysomething and now Brothers and Sisters.
USA Today behind the scenes at the ceremony. I would have rather Robert and Kitty not been there at all, but since Kitty used to be close to Kevin back when the writers bothered to put her in scenes with her family, I guess I get it. Scotty's parents will appear in the episode and apparently they'll make some appearances next season. I don't know who's playing the mother, but his father is Michael O'Keefe. I still think of him as Jackie's boyfriend on Roseanne. They will also show a few flashbacks of Kevin and his father, which is long overdue. Some preview clips. I don't think Saul is going to commit suicide. From what I read I think the shock involves something from the past. In spite of the bizarre story with Rebecca and Justin, I'm looking forward to the finale. I started watching the show because of Kevin and his relationship with Scotty hooked me from early on. I thought the show would never put him back with Scotty because we were supposed to see this as the relationship Kevin had to lose to make him mature as a person, and then he would either be alone or end up with one of the Ken dolls (Chad, Jason). That they're going to get this far is something I didn't expect, and even if it's rushed, I'm happy a fairly major TV show is going to have this occasion. And hopefully they'll still have plenty of stories next season. When Kevin is written as more than the bitter screw-up, he brings so much to the show, and Matthew Rhys can play anything. It would be great if the show was finally realizing that. |

So I was waaaaay behind with this season but had some downtime recently and caught up online. First and foremost - DESPISE what they're doing with Rebecca Walker. I don't give two shits about the chemistry between VanCamp and Annable,
they're completely negating all of season one for two hot young people to screw?! Seriously?! I don't even want to see where this is going quite
honestly, whether they hook up or even if they don't. Even if they ease into them having a relationship, it will be so icky and awkward. And now
they're going to bring in another illegitimate child -- basically creating a huge mess for such a sensational, unnecessary storyline.
