The first blown save you could almost laugh off because of how insane the whole fucking game was. This one SUCKED. And yeah, fuck that uncontested steal shit.

The first one you can hang firmly on the shoulders of Julio Lugo. Without his error, the game would have been over. This one was Pap and the whole uncontested
steal thing.
I can see allowing a runner who would cut it to a 1 run game to steal, but not one who could tie the game. It obviously backfired here, and Tek isn't exactly the type to throw one away on a steal attempt. |

I could see that comeback coming a mile away and almost said something but figured it wouldn't happen then and you'd all laugh at me. WHO'S
LAUGHING NOW
Two games over .500 and at least a game ahead in first place in the Central. We could be this year's Padres! |

Finally got out to the new Nats Park! What a nice park, kinda reminds me of Byrd Stadium a little bit. Too bad it's in SE DC, but they're building it
up...or something.

Get this guy into the hall. Just because Eckstein is short, fast, and frequently gets his uniform dirty the guy has been given all sorts of cliche nicknames that mean absolutely nothing. "Scrappy," "gamer," "pesky," "spark-plug," "plays the game the right way." Gimme a break, the guy is mediocre offensively and a below-average defensive shortstop. But yea, he performed well in a World Series, ok. |

the Cubs game I attended, so I just went down to the outfield area and watched the game there for a couple innings.

Whenever The Cubs go up against the latest rookie sensation, it never ends well, at least for the Cubs anyway.
Still if we can manange to beat them, and Ben Sheets vagina doesnt start to hurt gainst the Cards, this sad sack of a team could be tied for 1st by the end of the day. |
