I still think James made the worst move. He had TWO IDOLS and it was getting to the end of the game and he still didn't use the IDOL.

And Ian had, what, 13 hours to think about what he wanted to do? How long did Erik have between when the girls first talked to him and that TC? |

Nat57 wrote: I don't think so. James at least had trust in his fellow survivors. And if he had neither idol, he would have been perfectly safe that night. Plus, if he didn't win immunity at one of the next two challenges, he could go home. Erik was guaranteed F4, knew that all four wanted him out, yet still gave away immunity! James I'd say is top 10 definately, Erik is probably #1. |

I think Ian is still #1 and Erik is the de facto #2.
Had Ian wanted, he could have won 100,000 at least...Erik could have, but it was less feasible. |

Dear god I think that might have been worse than Ian's move.

The name of the game is outwit, outlast and outplay - all these guys thought they were doing something noble and/or strategic and it cost them some serious cash in the end. |

Something that deserves a mention:
Parvati goes to Exile Island in the F5 and doesn't even look for the idol. After all the backstabbing and blindsiding, it very well could've been her next. She should've at least looked for it. I was hoping that the big mistake would have turned out to be Parvati voted off and her not playing an idol because she didn't even look. |

For me, it's Erik 1, Colby 2, Ian 3, but as always, YMMV.

I'd put Erik as #2 myself. Colby's decision wasn't nearly as stupid (though still worthy of #3) as he did still almost win and was painted as a
nice guy, and he did know what he was doing by taking Tina over Keith. Erik chose to be an ignorant idiot and ignore the signs and failed hard. Still not as
dumb as Ian's deal, though it's close. So yeah, Erik should be #1 or #2. Clearly dumber than Colby's move, and it's arguable whether it trumps
Ian.
Another move that should be high is Erik sending Parvati to Exile over Natalie. If Natalie found the HII and Erik won immunity, Amanda would've been most likely gone and Erik would be in an even better position to make F3 with Natalie as a possible ally and he might have had a better chance of winning. Erik was in the situation he was in because of not sending Natalie to Exile. I feel that is definitely worthy of being on the list, and probably somewhat high up in that. |

she was safe anyway, but what if they decided to vote for her for some reason anyway? Better to be safe and at least look for the Idol instead of lounging on
the beach all day.

Parvati goes to Exile Island in the F5 and doesn't even look for the idol. After all the backstabbing and blindsiding, it very well could've been her next. She should've at least looked for it. We can't know for sure that she didn't look for it; she was there for two days and that confessional might have been 2 hours after she arrived. I feel quite certain that she did at least read the clues, out of sheer boredom if nothing else, but that story was so overshadowed by the Erik story, they didn't waste footage showing it (she has been too smart of a player not to give it a shot--even if she ended up giving the Idol to an ally). I feel almost certain that she DID look for it some, being there for two days, but since it never came into play, they showed us that quote so we would know she didn't have it at TC, so the entire suspense would be about Erik. Remember that the editors have lots of loose ends every 3 days to tie into one 45-minute episode, so they don't waste footage on storylines that don't go anywhere. That was the main reason I knew Erik would be fooled into giving up the Idol; they wouldn't have shown so much hardcore plotting over that one event if it hadn't happened.

ERIK REICHENBACH IS THE CHAMPION OF TURKEYS!!!
He did what I'm not sure Jason would do in a bazillion years. Certainly whomever wins immunity in the next round isn't going to entertain any thought of pulling a Reichenbach. Jason said in a number of interviews that he believed Erik and Natalie would be screwed. One down, one to go. |

I still think Colby's decision isn't top 10 material. He wasn't stupid, just cocky. He thought he would win against wither Keith or Tina and so he
made the decision on who he felt deserved the 100K more. If he had any inkling at all that Tina might beat him I'm betting there's no way he takes her
over Keith.
As far as Erik or Ian, I've gotta go with Erik. Ian made his decision knowing full well what the consequences would be, and for whatever reason he decided a friendship with Tom and Katie was more important than a possible million dollars. Erik made a decision thinking it would improve his position in the game. He was so oblivious to the conditions around him that he was actually deluded into thinking that giving up the only thing keeping him safe would make him look good to the jury. There's no comparison. |

Erik, without a doubt!
Ian knew perfectly well that he was settling for third place. It was a quit, pure and simple. Should we put Jenna Morasca leaving the game on the list, too? He made a move that I would never have made, but he had different priorities, and I don't think you can therefore characterize his quitting as a stupid strategic move. If he thought that somehow this would endear Tom to him, and therefore have Tom take him to the finals over Katie, then THAT would've been stupid strategically, but we have no evidence that that was his thinking. Erik, I'd contend, would've had a decent shot at winning. He was on an immunity run, and there's no reason to believe that he wouldn't have had a good chance to slide his way into the F3 (even though final ICs do tend to favor women). I could easily see Parvati and Cirie (or Parvati and Amanda) splitting votes, and Erik being able to say legitimately to anti-Obama bitter voters that he didn't have a part in their blindsides (well, except for Jason's, but everyone was in on that). Getting three votes wouldn't be out of the question for him. Erik's performance during this entire episode was just magnificent blunder after magnificent blunder. |

Colby's decision was definitely the costliest. It is an absolute certainty that he lost $900K by voting out Keith instead of Tina. If Tom/Ian were the Final 2, I believe that Tom would have still won in a close vote. Erik would still need to win all the remaining Immunity challenges to make the finals. |
