More SURVIVOR on DVD?

Posts: 2636 (05/07/08 4:27 PM) Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	I can't tell whether there is renewed interest in the show or because of their limited availability but when I checked this morning, all 6 of the Survivor DVDs were among the top 10 best sellers of Reality TV Show DVDs at Amazon. That's the first time that I've seen that happen since I started checking a few months ago. At the time that I checked, the lowest ranked one was still ranked in the top 6000 sales of all DVDs which is pretty good considering that there have been no Survivor DVDs released in 18 months.

I guess I should have looked more carefully, Amazon is offering each season at $12.50. So people didn't buy the DVDs initally because thye were too expensive.

I saw a link at the bottom of the 2 pages of listings of some guy selling the missing seasons for 12 bucks each. I am not sure I want to be the guinea pig to order a set and see how they are. I did the look up at amazon from the main page to dvds/movies, etc, then picked tv and movies, then scrolled down on the left side to genre, picked reality tv, then clicked on the survivor link. When I scrolled to the bottom of the listings, I saw that dude's links in the paid advertising section. I haven't mastered the whole bittorrent thing, so I have not yet downloaded seasons. IRC seems to take too long. I would like to see the marquesa season again.

Survivor is the only reality show that I plan to own all seasons on an original DVD. Well, aside from Amazing Race.. but then, that too is a lost cost.. sigh

Not "We don't have plans to release any more right now" or "Maybe in the future" but flat-out done. That doesn't mean I don't wanna keep trying to get official releases and if you guys can come up with any ideas, bring 'em on, but that's the outlook at CBS. And Amazing Race isn't even worth asking about. Sales were awful.

I tried burning my Exile Islands iTunes and it didn't work. It's not the encryption code, it's the format that iTunes saves it in. And I have no clue how to change it, if possible.
