Really got to hand it to Burnett and co. They "needed" a female winner this season to break out of the Man-funk they were in and the casting geniuses came up with Truck, Chet, Jason and Erik. Not to mention returning geniuses Ozzy and James. Glad to see none of the ladies managed to screw it up.They cast 5 fave females who really were good players, and didn't give the Fans any Yul or Earl to lead them. But the ICs were definitely male friendly, as if designed for Ozzy to go on another immunity run. Given 4 strong males and the ICs this season it's amazing an miraculous that the Black Widow's completed the pagonging. |

I couldn't believe I got them all right except one, about the four tribes on Survivor:Exile Island. That reward challenge was designed for a fan to win.
And he did!
Poor dumb Erik. Can you see a gay man, say Todd, falling for that malarkey? I guess he is straight after all... |

Man, you could blow me over with a freaking Feather when Erik handed that necklace over.
Final THREE? Erik had the freaking GAME in hand and blew it, just because he couldn't muster up a little self-confidence. You have to play the hand you're dealt. You can't CHANGE who the hell you are and how you play the game mid-stream. (Hear THAT, PARVARTI!) Erik had enough votes sitting on that Bench, he didn't NEED any of the votes from the F5. Alexis votes for her BFF, Natalie. Amanda and Cirie vote Parvarti. Ozzy, Eliza and James rain down their WRATH on Parv and Nat. Jason votes either Nat or Erik. DONE DEAL. All Erik had to do to win that Jury over is to come in with the same "Hell YEAH, I'm a god damn WEASEL. But you're sitting OVER THERE and I'm sitting HERE. Whatcha gonna DO about it?" attitude like COURTNEY did last time and he walks out with a Million freaking bucks. sad.grim.pathetic |

I've just rewatched the episode and I've never been so happy about any final four in any season of Survivor. Every single one of these women have made
game moves which make them worthy to be the winner.
If I could, I'd give each one of them a million. |

He was too naive and starstruck to play this game.It just goes to show that being a great FAN of Survivor is not the same thing as being a good STUDENT of the game or PLAYER of the game. I think only Jonathan had the cold bloodedness and maturity to pull a Chris this season and since he was evacuated, and all the other men couldn't strategize their way out of a wet paper bag, the women were destined to dominate. |

After watching her plan and execute talking Erik out of the IN I truly believe she should run for public office of some kind or get appointed to a cabinet
position. It was brilliant from what story can we spin to get him to give Nat the IN to her instruction for Amanda and Pav to go after him at TC. I have told
my friends for awhile that all the folk who go over the Survivor commericals and catch all the details should be helping the CIA. The USA would not be
surprised by our enemies again nor could we be misled by stories of weapons of mass destruction.

Cirie's plan to have Amanda and Parv kick him over the edge at TC was in fact quite brilliant....
J: So Parvarti, how was Exile Island? P: It was great to get away from Erik lying ... Immediate attack spin, for the entire TC and quite frankly it worked. Didn't Tom do the basically the same to Ian and got him to step out of the challenge? If you can't Outplay, you need to Outwit to Outlast. Erik would have won. As far as the editing the show early on it Survivor, I believe we all were telling SEG that we wanted to see the interactions/interdynamics of the alliances. They were hell bent to edit the show to keep this away from us. IMO, challenges are basically bull shit, focus on the Survivors... Watching Survivor is so much better when they reveal an Episode like tonight! |

Erik is such a goof; I felt sorry for him last night. Two pretty girls, a mom figure, and someone he wants to trust all working on him at the same time. He was
psychologically outnumbered, and didn't stand a chance.
I don't think Jeff outright lied about the idol in the preview; I think, as usual, he over-stated the "wow factor" though. He said, "The idol comes into play again in a completely different way," and it did. Cerie/Amanda (I'm not really sure who to give credit to for this) wanted to make sure that neither Natalie or Eric ended up with the HII, so when Amanda promised Eric if she won the reward challenge, she'd take him and got his promise to take her if he won, she immediately told him to send Parvati to Exile, because she was so weak she wouldn't even look for it. That was necessary for the plan to work, though I have no doubt Cerie would have come up with something equally as impressive if Eric hadn't followed Amanda's directive. Overall, it was a brilliant plan; Cerie is an incredible puppetmaster, behind the scenes, pulling everyone's strings and having them do what needs to be done. I would love to see her win; I would love to see her performance at a Final TC. This episode, to me, was one of the best Survivor episodes ever, and this season is quickly becoming my personal favorite. Many thanks for the PBP - I always come here right after the "Next time on Survivor" clip to see what I may have missed. :) |

Very good epi!!
Even hubby enjoyed it. Totally couldn't believe he handed it over. Rule #1 in Survivor, once you have immunity...NEVER give it up. ESPECIALLY if you are the last man/woman standing...and you have F4 in hand. He was on a challenge streak fer chrisake!! starstruck to play this gameand pussy whipped, poor boy...he had it bad for Amanda. He soooo wanted to be part of the "cool kids group" Best TC in a LOOOONG time. The jury's reactions were priceless. Ozzie saw the writting on the wall as soon as Eric opened his mouth...he just started shking his head. James' high fives, I am no longer the dumbest survivor!!! |

I have no sympathies for Erik. He's was just too young and immature and naive to play this game. I wish him well in life, but he
deserves getting booted in the game for the stupid move he made.
I'm remembering Colleen getting booted and saying, "I bet in ten years I could kick ass at this game." I think there is some wisdom to that. Give Erik twenty years. It takes some matury to play this game and cold-bloodedly reptilian and it sometimes needs to be played. More than one castaway has fallen in Survivor history due to their own naivety. ----------- Every once in a while the episode isn't edited with attempted suspense, but a celebration of how a player is booted. The boot is obvious from the beginning and no suspense is attempted. Tonight's episode was like Roger-S6's boot episode. All good fun.

I think (and hope) in ten years Erik would still lose this game. It is pretty amazing that he has spent the first 22 years of his life in an environment so
secure that he would believe something so ridiculous. Kinda like Charlie Brown and the football. I know the characters we see on the tv show are not exactly
the same as the real people, but I would hope that Erik's reflection on his experience would be that he has many good qualities, just not the ones to be
successful on Survivor.
Jason, our other very young adult, I think lost because he over-estimated himself. I think Erik lost because he over-estimated other people. |
