When Hurley handed Ben half his chocolate bar, was anybody else reminded of the scene from the Goonies when Chunk shared his bar with Sloth?

Anybody else catch the Geronimo Jackson poster inside the Locke locker?
(Edirted 'cause it was a poster, not a magazine.) http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Geronimo_Jackson |

John drew a picture of killer smoke as a "special kid" who made any sense of the knife selection pissing Richard off?

I was expecting Locke to come out of the cabin with a full white beard and long flowing hair, ala, Moses, with his wife and the guy waiting for him at the bottom of the mountain after he saw the burning bush. Joshua? Mt. Sinai? Anyway, the scene in the Ten Commandments. |

hey yeah what was with the whole Richard and John scene where Richard got all pissed off. I thought the item would be the knife but what set him off?

Maybe choosing the knife showed Richard that if he took Locke then, he would choose the wrong destiny. He wasn't ready.

And I have to say that Ben and Hurley sitting on a stump sharing a candy bar has to be the most surreal moment in LOST ever.I LOVED that scene. It was reminiscent of so many random dialogue-less scenes from Season 1 and was probably the best random moment since Season 1. It spoke volumes about the characters and positions of probably the oddest Lost pairing you could think of - that Hurley, even after knowing Ben tried to kill Locke and helped gas all those people, still would offer Ben half of his candy bar, and that Ben was in a position to accept that candy bar and maybe even be touched by the offer. These kind of scenes are what really made me fall so in love with Lost in the first place. It was comedic, philosophical and touching all at the same time. [/goingoverboardinmypraiseofthatscene:p] |

My DVR bit the dust with Locke just about the enter the cabin. Lovely. I know Christian and Claire were there, but can someone give me a quick rundown of the
dialogue during the last scene so I can at least get some sleep tonight. Thanks.

I thought I noticed this the first time, but watching it again to make sure, the tree Horace cuts down reappears (Locke notices it too) and he cuts it down
again.
That combined with the objects Richard showed Locke... Time loop? |

I doubt that Alpert is Locke's daddy. When Alpert showed up at the hospital Locke's grandma didn't recognize him.

But after Locke's spine was shattered, Abbadon told him he should go on a walkabout, where he would go into the Outback with nothing but his wits and a knife. Also, that scene with Alpert and the possessions drew heavily on part of the process the Panchen Lama follows to choose the next Dalai Lama. |

I loved Locke's little speech to Hurley about the Dharma Initiative: "There must have been a 100 of them or so. Manning the stations, building those
homes, making all the ranch dressing you like"

Well Christian is dead and lots of people have seen and spoke to him, no?Have we ever actually seen Christian's dead body? I always assumed that it was possible that they pretended he was dead, then he was put in a coffin alive to get him wherever. Jack was probably too stupid to check. he tree Horace cuts down reappears (Locke notices it too) and he cuts it down again.Didn't the cabin burn down in a recent episode anyways? (With Hurley). This was probably to show that it has that ability to reappear. |

Locke: How do I save the island? Outside the cabin, Hurley and Ben share a Dharma candy bar. Poignant moment, must be seen to be fully understood. Moments later, Locke leaves the cabin. Ben: Did he tell you what we're supposed to do? Locke: He wants us to move the island. |

This episode was packed full of great moments. At first I was kind of bummed that it was going to be a flashback, but wow those were great. Richard has
been keeping tabs on Locke since he was born. Never saw that coming.
Next week does look amazing. |

Yes, it seemed liked Horace's appearance was a time-loop. Of course, we all noticed the time-jumping bloody nose....RIGHT??

I loved the candy bar scene too but the BEST part about it was Hurley giving Ben the biggest piece! LOL

It would seem that the island exists days or weeks into the future if the Losties saw the dead doctor before he was dead off the island. Of course the time
the doctor arrived at the island might depend on the path the currents took to get his body to the island.
But I guess what this might reveal is that you don't have to physically move the island. Rather if you move the island in time whatever natural tectonic earth crust movements would mean that the island would be in a different place in that different time. So in a few million years the island might have drifted by many miles from it's "present" location. I remember reading at least one LOST theory years ago that the island moved, but mostly that was to explain why polar bears were on the island. In that theory they were talking about something like a floating island. I can't recall how they explained it though. I was also expecting the black orderly dude to be in the cabin and not Christian. I guess he'll show up later. Maybe he's Jacob? |

I'm beginning to think that Jacob isn't a single person/being/entity, but rather a collective of consciousnesses.
