Yeah Abby died this afternoon. She had a virus called FIP... I had no idea she was even sick until this morning, had no symptoms.

I doubt this will cheer you up, but I had to take one of my dogs, Cheyenne, in to be euthanized on Monday. I still tear up everytime I think of her. The only
the thing I can say is that I'm truly sorry. Our dogs have always been part of the family so I know how you feel. I just keep reminding myself that we
gave her a loving home for over eight years and that she gave us that love back.

I've been too out of it tonight to pay much attention to the quiz answers.
Dunno if anyone went up any stairs/steps. Not sure about drinking water. It would be nice if both answers are yes. I am sure of no candle lighting, yes to Dharma logo, yes to eating (dammit Jack!), no to D/S mentioning J/C, yes Locke's eyes were closed for a few before we got the eyeball shot, no - didn't see Aaron or Vincent at all, no - never heard Danielle or Karl's names mentioned, yes - Hurley mentioned the monster, no alcohol that I noticed, no lightning. Didn't Michael cough when he was getting punched? I can watch again tomorrow... |

I think they only showed someone going down steps.

Ok, I watched the episode twice last night. Here's what I gleamed:
1. Discussion required--see below. 2. No candle 3. Yes Dharma logo 4. Yes Jack ate something 5. Discussion required--see below 6. No Sayid & Desmond didn't mention Jack or Claire 7. Yes, Locke closed his eyes 8. No baby Aaron this episode 9. No Vincent that I saw 10. No one coughed 11. No one mentioned Karl or Danielle 12. Yes, Hurley mentioned the monster 13. No alocohol 14. No lightning 15. Frank the helicopter pilot and Claire both sported bandages on their foreheads. Those are the only ones I saw, so the answer is 2 or C. If you saw someone else wearing a bandage, please tell me who and when. Ok, now for the toughies. 1. Did anyone climb up stairs? While Desmond was sitting on the stairs watching the captain get killed, he decided to move, so he stood up and stepped up a step, heading up the staircase. Since I saw him move upwards, I say the answer is Yes. Discussion? 5. Will anyone drink water? After Hurley handed a water bottle to Locke, I think Locke took a drink. However, since we didn't see him actually put the water bottle to his mouth, I have to say the answer to this question is No. Discussion? |

Scamp, I was REALLY out of it last night but kept thinking someone (couldn't think of who) did go up stairs/steps. I usually take notes but didn't this
time. Definitely Desmond. I remember yelling at the tv - damn dude, quit sitting there with those freaks and HIDE. He did stand and move up those steps. When
you ask a general question about someone climbing steps I'm sure it doesn't occur to you that someone might make a move up steps yet only go one or
two. You'd never ask "will someone climb stairs or at least a step?".
I think it's a yes. I also saw Locke swallowing a drink of water but was cursing because I didn't see the bottle at his mouth. Going with Tom's friend who never put the glass to his lips in an earlier episode I would think no, BUT we didn't see that guy swallow any alcohol either so it was a clear no IMO. We did see Locke swallow water after giving out water bottles... this will have to be your call. You sure Michael never coughed when he was punched in the gut? And the freighter dude that smokey maimed, I think that's who GIAA was thinking of. He did have some kind of bandage type cloths on him. Band-Aids or bandages aren't always those thin strips like what we saw on Frank and Claire. I'd know, I sell them and they come in all sizes. Whatcha think?

I paid special attention during the Michael scenes, as I thought that would be my best chance to find someone coughing. I didn't see him cough once.
However, my attention has been known to wander at times, so it's possible I missed a cough (but I don't think so, because my answer was Yes for this
question and I'm out 100 pts). If someone heard/saw a cough anywhere in the episode, please post when/where and I'll take another look.
I did see Locke open the water bottle, and I did see him swallow shortly thereafter. I did NOT see him actually drink from the bottle.At the beginning of this season I would have said this is a definite Yes, but after all the arguments we had this season I changed the rule to that we MUST SEE IT HAPPEN ON SCREEN. The example in the instructions is: we have to see someone put a spoonful of cereal in his mouth, not just pour cereal into a bowl. I'll leave this open to discussion. What do you all think? Is this good enough to count as a Yes?
