His name may be Chuck Darling now, but he'll always be Frasier Crane to me.

After Vanished and Drive's hurried cancellations last season, I'm very leery about getting too connected with any new FOX shows. Until I see what
hopefully replaces Kid Nation soon on CBS, if the TV is on Wed at 8 I can watch this for a while. But I won't be pissed if/when its gets cancelled.

I enjoy Kelsey Grammer so watched it...will have to have more supporting cast to work

I liked the geeky news director.
Yeah, he was cliche to say the least but I have a lot of friends who are the picture of geek cliche so he felt "real" to me! |

The problem with the episode was....it just wasn't very funny. But hopefully it will improve. Pilots are always awkward because they have to introduce so
many new characters.

I thought the 26 year old news director was Chris Farley-esque. I think Kelsy and Patricia played off each other well. It's on my TIVO so I'll watch,
but if I didn't have TIVO I'd probably forget about it being on.

It was a yawnfest. Lame jokes and even lamer "twist". Kelsey Grammer should be ashamed of this one.

I didn't like the 'walking past' jokes. I don't like the 'Who's the Boss' are they going to get together or aren't they. I
wondered how they got that fat guy's shirt wet...maybe with a sponge? I liked Patricia's acting, even if I am alone in that.

I loved the "walking past" jokes.
You're not alone in liking Patricia Heaton's acting. I always liked her in Raymond far more than I ever liked Ray Romano whom I found nothing short of annoying most of the time. I think her being up against Kelsey Grammer will make her shine since she actually has somebody who can act working with her. |

Still making me laugh.
What could be funnier than killing gold fish and tasering news reporters? |

the fish massacre had me laughing!
this one was better than the pilot. We'll see.... |

The reporter that was tasered was hilarious. I haven't laughed that hard at something on TV in a long time. He did an exceptional job and I was glad I
had recorded it so I could show it to the rest of the family. Weird, I know.
I agree with the other person who commented on the news director. The Chris Farley comparison is right on but this guy's character is useless and annoying. He needs to be kept as the office bitch and forget about trying to portray him as management. The long lost kid story is already way overdone and needs to be shelved. Not so fond of Patricia Heaton either but I'm a huge fan of Kelsey Grammer so I'll keep watching. Last week was better than the pilot so here's hoping tonight's is even better than that. |

Not that anyone is still watching this piece of crap, but FOX has given it a full-season pickup. On top of that, they even ordered an additional 2 episodes,
so this show will have 24 total episodes this season.

We'll see how it goes...I'm really liking the supporting characters. Kelsey can do no wrong...maybe with less Patricia it will be ok.

Is anyone going to mention the fact that they got rid of Montana and got a new Gracie? Or the fact that this was the weakest episode by far?

I really liked this episode. However, I liked the first Gracie better. And I missed Montana.
I just hope that if this show continues they don't make Chuck lose his sleeze factor. Making him suddenly "grow up" and want to be a family man and settle down and not chase women anymore would suck. |

So has this been off the air since October?

There were two new episodes back at the end of February that were written before the strike.

I didn't even know it was back.
No......not a new Montana!! what's the future outlook? |

FOX seems to have a massive hard-on for this show (for some reason), so the outlook is probably good.
I don't think anything official has been announced yet. Or if it was, I wasn't paying attention. |

Looks like they are showing the episdoes out of order. Last night they showed an episode where Gracie didn't already know that Chuck was her father and
where Montana got fired. At the same time the actress who played Montana got fired-oh the irony!
