Don't the producers when scouting for the next location (which would be for Survivor 18) try to stick to a location not too far away from the fall season, in order to cut down on production costs? So since they are in Gabon for Survivor 17, I presume they are going to possibly pick a location for S18 in the Atlantic. Canary Islands are close? Of course, they could make another return to Carribbean/Panama.

Vanuatu - Palau = very close. Guatemala - Panama = very close. Cook Islands - Fiji = very close. China - Palau = sorta close. I guess you're on to something there. Hopefully they go to madagascar next or sampn.

I want to see some different locations, and those are both obviously close to Gabon. Not to mention they havent done a dry-ish season in like, FOREVER
