I really liked it. Obviously, some of it was quite predictable, as is the nature of premieres. As I said in the Q&A, the Faves were almost definitely going to TC first, and voting out Dave. However, it was still enjoyable to read :D. Dave offering the bribes really appaled me, and then I realised that that was really the intention- aslo, it's certainly something that Dave would do. Definitely, we were meant to side with Sherea this time around.

That being said, I'm still a bit unsure as to why you included Dave, if he was so obviously going home first. This was the very reason that you didn't want Jonny Fairplay... I don't want to take away from what you've done, but it was a bit odd.

I really enjoyed the Fans scenes, a lot more than in the real show. Theamatically, either a fave or a fan could still win at this point, whereas it was pretty clear from the start of the real show that the favourites were (are?) going to win the battle. I'm loving the tensions over there, and the fact that Mary and Natalie were both visible. As I said last season, one of the things I love about your fanfics is how you are able to take a pretty dull character, who doesn't do very much on the show, and give them a great, memorable story. I look forward to this trend continuing.

I'd love it to be Eliza, but I think that'd be to obvious, her being the most popular and also known to be the winner of your hypothetical Vanuatu. Aras and Brooke are also looking good for the favourites. However, I think that the winner could actually be a fan, based on the attention that they're getting, and the theme developed early on that the favourites don't necessarily have it in the bag, and the best of them (the only winner) having been eliminated first.

Dave - 8 (despite the bribes. Hats off to dave for joining the Tina club, by being both a winner and a first boot. You have to be a really good player to deserve such a huge target.)

Eliza - 9 The irony of her being in no real danger whatsoever- yet- but still scrambling around before the vote was well appreciated here)

Brooke - MOR3 (I get what you're saying about negativity, but I didn't feel it at the time... She really didn't have enough tone to warrant a P or an N)

Earl - MOR2 (We were supposed to share his disgust at the bribes)

Jason - UTR3

Natalie - UTRN2 (I thought she was more visible than your chart shows; maybe it was just the excitement at a confessional :D )

Sherea - OTTP3 ( The P is really only because Dave was an N, and their conflict would have polarised readers. Again. All of her tribemantes preferred her despite her irrationality. I think that it's similar to in China- The more Sherea annoys people, the more likeable she seems to come off)

Eliminated:
Chet- INV is not an excuse here like in the real show, because lots of other fans with good edits did get enough visibility.
Ruth Marie- INV when the tribe went to TC, and her alliance wasn't shown.
Sherea- Too similar to last season. If she doesn't leave soon, her story will be lost now that Dave is gone. I hope I'm proven wrong with this prediction.

I thought this episode was really good! I didn't expect the Dave to go first, but I didn't see it being Sherea either. I thought for sure the Favorites would go to Tribal first, but I was wrong again! I'm glad the episode sort of shook up my expectations - I'll be more surprised later on!

The arguing between Sherea and Dave, especially Sherea arguing right in front of Dave! And Kathy falling out of the boat first thing!

Ami will get the all girls alliance going, but Eliza/Sherea will have animosity. Terry will really try to get back into the game.

Hey Guatamala fic. When you read my fan fic, you weren't very nice about it, so I'm not going to be too nice about this fan fic either. I absolutly despise the real Survivor Micronesia favorite, but a lot of these favorites are down right BORING, Sherea??????? Ruth Marie????????? Brooke????? Ian? Earl? I'd take people I completly hate like, Ozzy, Cirie, Parvati, James and Amanda any day, at least I have an oppinion of those "Favorites" even if it is a negative oppinion. I can't beleive I'm saying this but I almost wish you included those castaways. When I read you're fan fic, I was finding myself nostalgic for the real Survivor Micronesia, and how sad is that? I hate that season, but at least it has slightly more impressive characters. No offense.

I really enjoyed the episode. I think we got a good amount from each of the contestants, and I enjoyed everything that was included. For some reason I would like to see a bit more from Ruth Marie and Brooke, because I really enjoyed their characters in your previous seasons. But I assume they are just slowly warming up :)

My favourite part was actually the tribal council. I think that you wrote it really well, and though Dave's offer was unorthodox, I believed it, because his character had been established quite clearly.

8/10 - Rather solid epi. I really enjoyed reading it.

1. SOLE SURVIVOR POLL

(A) Which castaway will be the Sole Survivor?
At this point I think if the winner is a fan it'll be Mary, and if it's a Fav my money is on Aras.

Just from the first couple of scenes I can tell that the Erik--Eliza/Brooke story has legs. I'm not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing at this point, but at least one or two of them is on my potential winners list at this point.

I found Mikey's comment "my chances of winning just went way down," followed by the prominent drumbeat, quite interesting. Either foreshadowing or irony, for sure.

Between Erik's line "this is still a game, and this is war between the Fans and the Favorites..." and Aras's "it's gonna be a long and glorious battle," I think a theme of war with fans vs. favorites is going to be prominent throughout the season. Whereas the real show seems to have lost some of that at the merge, I think this will definitely play out. It seems like one of those two guys, if not both, will play some role in the end game.

I noticed how Jason got the 'Alexis confessional'-- about how the fans already know the favorites' game. Unlike Alexis, though, he received more content later in the episode to back up his chances. Your Jason doesn't appear to be as much of a douche (sorry Jason!) as in the real show.

I also noticed how Eliza got the 'Parvati confessional'-- "I'm determined not to make those same mistakes again the second time around." Brooke also further developed E, with the "she's like a fan and a fave" comment. I can't decide whether Eliza is the real gamer, or if she's merely Brooke's distraction. Right now I'm going with the former.
