"The moves helped the fans. Why would they do something different? They got rid of threats and Jason was one of them. Amanda would have taken those threats to the finals and lose big if she had her way."
How do you know Parvati wasn't planning on taking them to the F2 or F3? Amanda finding the HII stopped that. There is a reason for her
wanting to keep Nat over Alexis even though they probably would have been able to boot Alexis anytime because of her knee making it unlikely she would win any
ICs. Parvati was probably hoping they would take out Amanda for her like Parvati did for Amanda when Ozzy was booted. The point is Amanda has no back up plan
except immunity and that is why she is not a good player. Cirie and Parvati do. I think they want the F3 of C/N/P. If Amanda keeps winning immunity then they
go with her, not as good but at least their chances of getting to the finals are good either way. At least I would hope so especially after the last TC. Amanda
is just a vote and back up plan for C/P.

What makes you think Cirie and Parv really want to go into the Finals against the Fans, there's a good chance said Fan would sweep the Fan votes, and would have the argument "they played before" which is an effective argument...As for Amanda, the rest of her alliance got voted out. It doesn't make her a bad player just because a member of her alliance flipped. This has happened to tons of good players before. Sometimes things you can't control happen. Amanda will have made the Final 3 twice...Cirie and Parvati have yet to make the Finals.. |

She also tried to help James stay in the game so....I don't really know how you can argue that she was planning on getting rid of them. If she was planning on waiting then she's a fool. Ozzy had the idol AND was a huge immunity threat. So if her plan truly was to wait until F5 and hope that James and Ozzy didn't win either challenge then she's very naive and not very smart. I guess you could theorize that Amanda was just pretending in all of these instances where she was super-pissed that her four clique was disrupted, but that goes against everything we've been shown. But she is positioned better now and actually has a shot at winning, due to nothing that she did for herself except find the HII. Woo hoo. Brilliant. |

Katy Carney wrote: Last season, Amanda waited until Final 7 to take out James who was a huge immunity threat as well and had not one but TWO hidden immunity idols, and that little plan worked out just fine for her. Besides Ozzy said that Amanda never told him about Parv's alliances, which suggest that at the very least Amanda was saying in the interviews Ozzy better watch his back, but wasn't really watching his back for him... In someways you could argue that she was taking the position Parvati took with a possible Amanda ouster. (Ozzy can go, but I can't have anything to do with it.) |

gone and it is F5. They are lucky James was evacuated. Can't compare this year to last year. The only way to get Ozzy this year without Amanda's vote
would be when he was taken out. Amanda should say thank you to Parvati and Cirie.

Even if it was, you can't just assume it wouldn't have worked, even with the obvious risks involved. I wouldn't even necessarily assume that Ozzy would win against her. People's presumptions about what the jury will do aren't always accurate. If they were, we'd all be assuming Amanda will win, since that's the impression her opponents seem to have. Sticking with her alliance wouldn't necessarily have been any riskier than what ended up happening, since it left several people who wanted to vote her out due to being a jury threat, and she needed to use the immunity idol just to survive. |

the bootsheet has been updated and it only shows Erik as very vunerable so I'm guessing he will throw the immunity challenge or something and than get
booted.

Jeff Preview: "This week the idol comes into play in a completely different way. Something that has never happened before happens with
the idol."
I am thinking that Erik does not win Immunity, but instead he gets the HII. At TC, he uses the HII on Natalie so as to keep her safe. Only thing is that everyone else has voted for him. That would be a shocker. |

Jeff Preview: "This week the idol comes into play in a completely different way. Something that has never happened before happens with the idol."As I've said in some other threads, I'm going with the theory (stolen from someone on MESS), that Erik wins immunity, but one of the girls finds Ozzy's old unused HII (which is still hidden somewhere at camp because he never took it to TC) and convinces Erik that it's a new idol that one of them just found on Exile Island. Then, somehow, they convince him to give up his immunity necklace in exchange for the idol as part of some kind of plan to blindside one of the other girls. So at TC, Erik gives his immunity necklace to one of the other girls as part of the plan. Then all the girls vote for Erik and Erik votes for the girl that they're supposedly blindsiding. But when Erik plays the HII, it's revealed to be the old, no longer usable idol that Ozzy had, and Erik winds up being voted out. That scenario would fit every single thing that Jeff said. The idol would have been used in a way that it's never been used before, Erik would continue the string unbelievable blunders, and this TC would indeed be one of the most shocking of all time. And if that happens, it would also make this officially the greatest season of all time : ) |

Obviously that would be Tracy. The only fans Joel would outrank would be Kathy, Chet and Jason. The best fans-side player got taken out pre-merge.And . . . that would be Joel or Tracy? |

mfrimley wrote: I say "If" because I don't think she was planning on voting him out at all, but you seem to be arguing that she was. Well it was a stupid plan, "if" that was her plan. I believe she was content to beam at Ozzy while he won and she got zero votes. Any desire to keep Ozzy around longer wasn't due to some counterstrategetic schoolgirl crush. Most people aren't focused entirely on the endgame at the final 9, and Amanda's main priority was outlasting. It made sense to boot somebody like Jason, who was also a physical threat, and wasn't unconditionally loyal to her like Ozzy.Maybe not, but everything that we've been shown suggests otherwise. Maybe Amanda is a secret strategizer, but all I see is doe-eyes and sadness that her four clique didn't last. I assume she also wanted Alexis out over Eliza, Erik and Natalie because she's so focused on the game, too? She's very good at playing the part of the wounded girlfriend if she's actually some shrewd gamer. Tried to help James stay in the game? How, by voting out Jason? Parvati and Cirie didn't help James any less.Yes, except that Parvati and Cirie were actually trying to get rid of Jason and Amanda was trying to save James. She searched every avenue, she's mournful, she hopes James lasts, etc. There is nothing to suggest otherwise. Maybe editing has screwed Amanda over and made her look like a follower and an emotional pouty child who resists every game-related maneuver not involving her "clique" but on the show I'm watching, Amanda is being carried to the end kicking and screaming. |

Katy Carney wrote: Did it occur to you that maybe Amanda wanted to keep James around because she knew the guy was loyal to her and would never vote her out unlike, Eric,
Natalie, Alexis, and even it turns out Cirie. Plus, she had doubts about Parv and Cirie at this point. So if someone is going to go, it's in Amanda's
best interest at that point that the person NOT be James.
