I suggest getting lower and trying to echo patterns/lines in some of your pictures. I know it's hard with animals but get the easy shot first and then try
and move around for more interesting angles. But otherwise good pictures. kthxbye.

Quickly: 1) Thanks to Modesty for classifying FUCKING EVERYTHING. Damn, good work. This makes up completely for usurping my May Day thread. 2) So they are swan-geese! Hamdingers and myself were both correct. Dude, now we can't duke it out, and have no excuse for a male-ego clash. Maybe next time. 3) Khnum -- I was LAYING on the ground for some of those. I wasn't about to get IN the water. It's cute that you can repeat things your photography instructor has told you, though. Or is it Fezzy who is taking a photography elective for easy credits? I sometimes confuse the gay kidiots. 4) Penny -- email me and I'll send you the full size version of any pic you like for wallpaper. Photobucket free accounts only allow 800 X 600 max upload size. 5) NOIS -- the cam works great for night shots; tripod obviously required: 
6) Beautiful rose. 7) Zzunk is on the money about Phil, but it was a lucky guess on his part. The animal names just come to me randomly. 8) Dicky lives here? How cool. I'd like to meet him so I can tell him "SHUT UP" in person. Did you know Jacksonville was recently voted the Number 2 city in the United State for gay couples? Out or The Advocate or one of those gay rags recently posted a list of gay-friendly cities. Personally, I don't see it. Then again, I don't hang out in the coffee shops in Five Points, so maybe I'm missing something there. I doubt it, though. |

I love the night shots!
I can't get my camera to take a decent night shot because I'm afraid to take it off of it's auto settings and the night shot settings don't give me what I want. Our camera is 5 or 6 years old. My son laughs at me every time I pull it out. |

Well, you're still getting at least great day shots with it, Dharmit. But at that age... yeah, probably time to get a new cam.
I never use the night settings. Best to just slam it on the tripod and manually adjust aperture and exposure length. The skyline pics are long exposures, maybe five to ten seconds. The spider... ah, well... I had to use a flash. It's a little garish -- I recently made a flash diffuser that I want to try out, I hope it gives some softer light. |

This place could use more photo essays. TRUE! People WHO DO NOT POST PICTURES think you just grab your camera and they magically appear on the interenet. Editing, tweaking, uploading, linking, and posting takes time. I feel your pain.
