I'm becoming less and less enamored by this show. Especially this season. There've been too many personality changes to be realistic: A selfish,
atheistic genius suddenly becomes a religious fanatic? A screwed-up, practical hardass begins jeopardizing everyone's life because she thinks she has some
meaningful vision? A drunken jackass whose only stabilizing factor in life is his loyalty willfully hiding the fact that he's actually the enemy? And
don't even get me started on the Lee Adama story abortions...
Either the writers have come up with an amazing storyline that won't make sense until the last minute, or they're pulling a Lost and making up shit as they go along, hoping somehow they'll be able to tie things up semi-conveniently in the end. I'm beginning to suspect its more the latter than the former.
The whole "All Along The Watchtower" scenario I found to be utterly ridiculous (and not just because the cover was an abomination, as I'm sure Jit will attest to). They go through a nebula and they hear Bob Dylan in their head? And somehow this means they're Cylons?
They really need to cut some characters. There are far too many and it's just convoluting the whole storyline. Tori is pointless. She has no personality and there is no character development going on there. Same for Anders. Dualla and Gaetta could easily fill the roles as Cylons, if having four on board was necessary. And at least they'd have a history so that the audience could relate to their dilemma.
And I agree with the Jamie Bamber hate. He is wholly unconvincing as a crack fighter pilot and military leader. He has zero charisma or acting ability. Killing off his character would allow them to focus more time on the characters that are interesting.

Like you said, what about Dee and Gaeta? They were pretty
central characters back in the day, and now they're complete background characters.
