Just out of curiosity for anyone that knows, what name is Katarzyna comparative to in the US in terms of popularity?
It is like a different/unique name in Poland (I think that's where she said she was from)? Popular? Traditional? Just wondering.. |

Some names are popular from generation to generation, some other are popular for a couple of years then they disappear and the reappear after some time or are replaced by completely new set of names. Trends are changing - for instance when I was born (early 60-es) the most popular trendy names that since then disappeared where: Dorota, Beata. Iwona, Renata for girls, and Mariusz, Dariusz for boys Of course next to the trendy names there is a variety of Christian and hebrew names that are ALWAYS popular independent on any new fashion or trend. Among them are: Anna, Maria, Joanna, Katarzyna, Agnieszka, Magdalena, Małgorzata, Barbara, Wojciech, Piotr, Paweł, Jan, Tomasz, Marek, Maciej, Krzysztof.Got this from a Polish name site. |

The only thing that I can say in Tyra's defense about it, is that Katarzyna really should have given her a more dumbed down version of the pronunciation.
Like just tell her to say KataZHEEna (or whatever). But whenever she'd give the example, she'd do it with a very Polish pronunciation that made it seem
much more difficult than it was. Reminds me of a woman I know called Carolina - she'll usually make sure you don't say it like the state (or the song),
but the actual proper Italian pronunciation is not how most people pronounce it, nor how she instructs people to pronounce it. Maybe she'll learn.

Yeah, exactly. My friends back home all call me "Kate", on the show the girls called me "Kat", and that's mostly what I go by in the every day. Why did you change that for the show? Actually, I told Tyra I could go by "Kate" or "Kat," but she said, "Your mom gave you the name Katarzyna, so we're going to call you Katarzyna." That's how that went. |

If ANTM was actually about who's got the most modeling potential, Anya is the clear winner. Fatima might have had a shot if not for her complexion.
However, it's about which girl will suit Tyra's agenda. Tyra's a fatty now. She's had fatties on the show since the start. After 10 cycles, a
fatty's going to win to make Tyra not feel so bad about her fat arms and thunder thighs.

Because the show is a joke and nobody in the fashion industry actually takes it seriously, for the purpose of entertainment, WHITNEY AND DOMINIQUE for the
final 2!!
They fucked up Whitney's look when they turned her into an Anna Nichole blonde. She looked really good as a brunnette before. The stylists missed the mark second season in a row- first with Dominique's hair color (and they have yet to get it right with her), then Katarzyna's haircut, and now they should really consider changing Whitney's color back. Anya and Fatima were the only big improvements for me. And last year, omg ....why the fuck did they have to give Jenah that cheap ass weave!? They looked like dreads, for fucks sake. |

I'm not sure if Danielle was considered OTTP, but she was pretty positive throughout most of her season.
Anya is the only one left who I can stomach winning. I didn't really notice her at first- her pictures were good but not the greatest- but when she won the challenge where Nigel shot her, I really noticed how beautiful she was and she's done a really good job since. I think she'd be the best winner since Danielle. As far as the others, I was a big Whitney fan before, but her photo last week was bad, and she has that same mouth open expression in many photos. Kat should have stayed over her, no question. Fatima's been pretty unimpressive even though I think she has a great look, and I can't stand her bitchiness. Dominique has definitely improved and has taken a couple photos I like, but I don't think she deserves to win, and her earlier photos were pretty bad.

I loved when Tyra got off on how the judges were talking about how the photo looked like it could be in Italian Vogue, then her speech about how it was her
first time doing color photography. It was SO satisfying when Paulina told Tyra to hand over the hosting duties to her and go take some pictures. That
"are you fucking retarded?" look she gave Nigel when he beamed about Moby Dick was fantastic too.
