You're all wrong. She probably just wants all of Archuleta's pre-teen fans to download her song on iTunes so that she'll get even higher on the charts. Duh.

Can anyone explain to me why the U.S. division of Sony BMG acts as if her European success is a fluke? They heavily modify her British albums (to the point of
not even releasing the second one, for the most part), completely reshoot most of her videos (and usually not for the better), delay the release of her
sophomore album for almost a year so they could replace most of it... hell, even her image seems to change between coasts.
I thought it was funny that a few bad reviews for "I Wanna Have Your Babies," and not only is the U.K. lead-off single from her second U.K. album -- and a top ten hit, at that -- 86'd as a single in the States, but it's axed from the U.S. version of the album entirely. I honestly can't remember the last time a major label overstrategized this hard when trying to conquer different markets. Hey, Sony, isn't the fact that chick's got a great voice enough? |

I completely agree with you that her English stuff is much better, but usually European pop acts tank in America; just look at people like Kylie. They did
what they could to turn her into a Christina Aguilera instead of just letting her do what she does best, which is be Natasha.

I could understand that if she were "too British," but does anyone think she's too British. (Hey, even Madness, who were even more British than
bangers and mash, managed to have a hit here.) They retitled "These Words," "These Words (I Love You, I Love You)" -- like people
wouldn't know what the damn song was called if they didn't add in the parenthesis -- then re-released the "Unwritten" album and reverted the
title back, all the while overhauling the album a second time with a bunch of pointless remixes. How many completely different versions of
"Unwritten" have there been anyway? 6? I also think "Babies" was a much stronger single than the Mariah Carey wannabe "Love Like
This," and would have pleased U.S. audiences who took to "These Words" and the "Unwritten" single.

Natasha has mad talent so I don't see why they'd go through all the trouble to fuck around with her music and make it more appealing to North America.
I love her voice and I'd listen to anything she sang.
I like "I Wanna Have Your Babies" and I think it would have done well on the radio here. I don't have a clue why they nixed it from the album. I like "Love Like This" but I like Natasha's singing in it, I could do without it being a Sean Kingston remix job. |

I loved her!! well until she went over and slobbered all over pork chop in an obvious manipulation by either her or the producers!

Up until Leona Lewis (who, by the way, is also on Sony BMG), a British woman hadn't hit number one on the charts for over 20 years. So, yes, I can
understand why they would market Natasha a certain way here. Its endemic of radio play and genre segmentation. And R&B station may not be so inclined to
program a British artist on paper.

Meh. Too repetitive and her singing proved just how much fixing they have to do in the studio.
