I was dozing while this was on last nite, but came full awake when I heard someone was making puttanesca. man, I love making that and eating it, but I
couldn't imagine anchovies and capers for kiddies. and I was sure hoping none of the little tykes asked what it meant.
also, who was the one who was told that his dish was unoriginal and they had already seen it? I was listening with my eyes closed so missed what they were
talking about it. I'll catch it on the reruns. I was just worn out last nite -- not that the show was boring me or anything. (actually I had gone to a
wine dinner the night before and had a rather "sluggish" day -LOL)
so how many spaghetti dishes and rice dishes did we end up with? I got confused in my sluggishness. did the whole wheat pasta count as italian or asian? so many seemed so similar to me. so it basically came down to the more veggies the better?
and the rice salad! I didn't know that was a real dish. I've fixed that for my son for years and he loves it. I just thought it was a "house" recipe I came up with out of frustration for something better that night. there's just something about how the warm rice wilts the lettuce. crazy good.
