I think the LN vid is quirky and fun. People need to stop reading too much into things I swear.

kelly has fought for artistic integrity.... carrie pretty much goes along to get along imo... and sorry Carrie sitting in a writer's convention @ the rhyman (sp?) auditorium with a buch of professional writers who had been asembled and moving from group to group while THEY write the songs isn't exactly "writing" unless you subscribe to the Ashlee Simpson school of writing that is and whether Carrie is as good (which I think she is) or not isn't the point... the point is Carrie had an easier road paved out for her.... that's a benefit that Kelly didn't have so her success, while equal to Carrie, is IMO more impressive because of everything she had to overcome to get there...

First the song wasn't representative of Carrie and now the video isn't either? so wtf is Carrie doing? Doesn't she have a genuine bone in her body? Can't she put anything of her REAL self into her work? The video is stupid IMO...I mean in it Carrie picks up some guy in a club who clearly doesn't think enough of Carrie to keep his eyes off of every other woman in the room...and she actually NOTICES him flirting with a girl at their wedding but marries him ANYWAY? the video doesn't even go with the song cuz at the end of the song Carrie takes the pinto and the $$ and hits the road without him...

As for Carrie getting more promotion than Kelly, it has nothing to do with learning a lesson. Carrie has a more pleasing face, body and her music appeals to the general public more than the "Alanis Morisette/Amy Lee" wannabe.

WTF, it's starting to sound like a broken record again with the "Kelly had to prove herself" schtick. The only thing Kelly's proving lately is that the public and media is losing interest in her. She's sinking pretty fast in terms of her celebrity appeal!

I've got to agree with Shyster - the only buzz about Kelly singing for the Pope happened on the fanboards. It was a big deal to her fans - to everyone else, not so much.

Carrie Underwood's Weight Drama

Carrie Underwood has people concerned that she's taken her healthy eating habits too far. After admitting in recent interviews that she dropped 20 pounds, Carrie, 25, is again talking about weight in the May issue of InStyle saying, "I'm contect with 90 percent of me."

Since she started out on American Idol in 2005, Carrie's hired a trainer and dropped three dress sizes, going from a size 8 to a 2. "She came to the show not knowing what Manolo Blahniks were," an Idol insider tells OK!. "She won, and it became abot what designer she was wearing, how her hair looked and that she was an 'average-sized girl.' She hated the mean things people said about her weight, and when she stressed she nibbled on cookies and chips."

Carrie tells OK!, "I put pressure on myself to look good because I'd look at message boards and people would be like 'Carrie's fat.'"

She confessed to InStyle that she's an emotional eater: "Ice cream is my friend. If anybody sees me eating a sundae and I look unhappy, something bad has happened. I am drowning my sorrows in fudge and caramel and whipped cream."

Carrie told pals she started eating healthier food when she saw herself on TV. She tells InStyle: " i think about what I look like probably more than I should. Some days I step out of the shower, put on my lotion and I'l be like, 'Ugh, ew, ew.'" She added, "I count calories, fat and fiber. If I put on five pounds, it's noticed immediately."

Dietician Dr. Sharon Richter, who does not treat Carrie, tells OK!, "From Carrie's quotes, I think she could have dysmorphic disorder, where you don't see your body as it is. She still sees herself as heavy when she's thin."
