Thank The Lord For The Nighttime.
Love the latin feel to the intro, despite the fact that she's flat in the intro line. It's better when the chorus kicks in, and I suppose it's okay to be a bit shouty on this song, although this comes off a bit screechy which isn't the same thing. She hits a convincing high note, and could have freestyled more there, IMO. She played it too close to the vest in the first half of this song; should have let loose more like she did in the second half.
A 7.
Randy: That was also in the zone. Could have been a play, Broadway. This is where I like you.
Paula: First song, I thought that vulnerable side was beautiful. That's your magic. Second song, showed a whole different side. That's your performance, theatrical place. Corrinne Bailey Rae, Minnie Riperton, softness in your voice.
Simon: This is officially the strangest show we've ever done. A bit chaotic tonight. There, you demonstrated you are a good actress/stroke/singer. But I think you may be in trouble tonight.
Audience: BOOO!
Simon: Because there's only 5 left. It's a calculated guess. You didn't have a really memorable second song like some of the others tonight.
