SHARPTON RAPS OBAMABy CHUCK BENNETT and KAVITA MOKHAApril 29, 2008 -- Barack Obama made a call for nonviolence in the aftermath of the Sean Bell verdict - infuriating the Rev. Al Sharpton, who accused the presidential candidate of trying to "grandstand in front of white people," sources told The Post. During what a source described as a "heated" phone call yesterday, Sharpton told Obama he was disappointed with the Illinois senator's words on Friday, when Obama said "resorting to violence to express displeasure" was "completely unacceptable and counterproductive." "[Obama] issues this statement and not a single rock had been thrown," said a source. "How does the candidate of change ask people to accept a verdict that is unjust?" The source said Sharpton had hoped Obama would "side with the Bell family" and not use it as an "opportunity to grandstand in front of white people." An Obama spokesman described the conversation as a chance to "hear [Sharpton's] views and to get his perspective." Sharpton ratcheted up the pressure on federal prosecutors yesterday by bringing Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich.), chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, to Kalua, the Queens strip club where the Nov. 25, 2006 shooting took place. "We are going to put together a federal strategy on how to deal with the case," Conyers said. Also yesterday, Queens Supreme Court Justice Arthur Cooperman, who rendered the not-guilty verdict, refused to comment on his decision. "He said what he had to say on the bench," his law clerk said. CBR, the Clintons are (in)famous for pretending that things they did in the past never happened.
Hell, just last week in a radio interview Bill denied saying something ... five seconds after he said it -- on the same damned radio interview. |

rugslug, you missed this part:
Hillary went to work for the left-wing Bay Area law firm of Treuhaft, Walker and Burnstein, which specialized in Black Panthers and West Coast labor leaders prosecuted for being communists. Two of the firm's partners, according to Treuhaft, were communists and the two others 'tolerated communists'. |

Holy fuck! Ruggie is defending Hillary. Ain't that one of the seven signs of the Apocalypse?

I'm extremely confident that these two will destroy each others chances of gaining the White House in 2008, thereby paving the way to a McCain victory and
the eventual war with Iran which will bring forth the destruction of mankind and usher in the apocalypse.
Those who survive will be separated into two groups. You'll have the standard cannibal rovers who hide in abandoned buildings and prey on normal people who stray outside after dark, and the others (like myself) who were wise enough to barracade themselves in a secure location with stockpiles of junk food and Red Bull. I'll then leave the protection of my bunker to search for a hot female companion in order to repopulate the Earth (and get my rocks off). We'll fuck endlessly until the food supply runs out then I'll eat her. S. |

You weren't around in the 60s were you? Back then, the bay area communists were supporting the Black Panthers, Left Wing extremists and the bombers. And
most of them were supporting North Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh. And the PLO (islamic fundies)

That's the upshot of all this. The left wing of the democrats, of which Obama is a member, is now experiencing the light of public scrutiny. Just exactly
what this left wing thinks about America is shocking to many people and most iiiiiiinteresting to the rest of us.

It depends on how you define "left wing". Obama's certainly pretty new left, with his emphasis on being rather than doing. I wouldn't agree
that he is very old left, given his obvious discomfort with the working class.
