Damn, I love all of it. There used to be a great place called Fast and Cool in Houston, and in Dallas. All they played was funk, but the crowd
was very preppy. Dancing in cages. I used to go out dancing almost every night. I miss those times too. Frat parties played funk all the time. I guess now they play Snoop and Kanye. |

In '89, my car caught fire in the engine compartment, and I could do nothing but watch it burn itself out (I'd JUST bought new tires for it, too - the
heat burst all of them, damnit).
Later that night, I pulled out an LP by The Trammps, and let "Disco Inferno (Burn Baby Burn)" play on, and on. I mean, what can you do, eh?
