I suspect that this really is shaping things up for the rest of the series. We'll shift from the island to the larger game. I have a funny feeling that when we do meet up with Jacob, he actually will explain everything about the island, for better or worse. All those answers will finally come. And then they'll set up the mysteries of the game, and play that out over the next two seasons. Also remember that they hired Emerson for only a couple of episodes and kept them on because they liked his performance. Implying none of this was supposed to be in the master plan. Or so they've implied. X Emerson is so deserving. His reaction to Alex's death was so convincing; it actually made me feel compassion for Ben. Ben is definitely one of the greatest characters on tv right now.

And Ben "appearing" in Tunisia just after Nadia's murder is coincidence? I think not. Good point, but I think killing Nadia to get to Sayid would break Ben's "moral code." It's clear now that he does have one, even though it's unpredictable. But killing an "innocent" like Nadia isn't like Ben. And totally agree that Emerson should win an Emmy because Ben is by far the best character on Lost right now.

What's the tie in between Widmore and Ben? As far as I've seen before the island, Ben was dominated by his dad and had no external influence. What happened BEFORE the crash, but AFTER the purge to make Ben super powerful and have millions of $ (according to Miles) How did the son of a janitor, seemingly a speck of a man, become a huge influence on the external world off island? I want THAT story told. Was Ben there to kill the guy or recruit Sayid? Judging by his surprise at Syid seeing him, I think the former. He was folowing Widmore's worker, got the tip after Nadia's death, and planned to kill him all along. Sayid going all Rambo was a bonus and a feature he figured he could exploit in the future. Was the hotel clerk frightened of Ben? When he gave the name, it seemed like the reaction one would have if they were a teller and someone handed the a hold up note. WTF was that about? Anyway just more fuel for the fire....

I'm not a fan of the way they look in paintings, but in real life they are such a beautiful flower. Emerson is so deserving. His reaction to Alex's death was so convincing; it actually made me feel compassion for Ben. Ben is definitely one of the greatest characters on tv right now. Absolutely. Alpert and Ethan probably just put Juliet in there so that when she woke up, she'd assume they got there via sub. This never occured to me at all but it makes perfect sense! Ben was happy to let Locke blow up the sub because he knew it was not really the transport. It maintained the illusion of Ben's power and he could still freely jump back and forth as he wanted.

We really have to make sure that happens. heh. cute thought, as if viewers could decide emmy winners. even the networks do not decide emmy winners. the emmy voters do. that sucks, but it is what it is. does michael emerson deserve to win an emmy this year? hell yes. will he? nope. you know who will win? james spader. do you know why? james spader is their perennial emmy joke. when the winner is announced it will be "james spader, boston legal." take that one to the bank...

I mean that's been pretty much confirmed now? It kind of makes more sense to me now why Sayid is killing all of these Widmore folks then. If the freighter folks worked for Widmore and their main objective was to get Ben and kill everyone else then of course Sayid would assume that Widmore = killing his friends that were left behind. I personally see no purpose for Widmore to go after Nadia but do otoh see a reason for Ben to. I'm surprised Sayid didn't think of it that way but I guess that's the whole emotions-dictating-actions discussion he and Ben had at the SPCA. Still don't know how the rest of it goes together though as far as the O6 and why Claire isn't with Aaron. I guess she still could die but they were kind of toying with us with her house blowing up and her still living, so who knows? They sure seem to like to mess with our heads that's for sure! :)
