Another amazing episode! Definitely the closest season to Pearl Islands with all the blindsiding! Hopefully it keeps up the craziness. A little surprised that Amanda didn't round up James, Erik, and Jason for a counter plot against the Female Fab 4. Then again, she talked a big game in her China confessionals about wanting to blip Todd out, and we all saw how that worked out. Honestly, her position in the game is not too shabby at all right now though. If she sticks with the female alliance, then theoretically, at worst, she'll end up 5th. With like all the contestants saying that the Fans stand no chance of winning post-game (either a spoiler or some serious winner mis-direct), perhaps Parvati will stick with Cirie/Amanda over Alexis/Natalie. In that case, Amanda will be a very big jury threat likely soaking up James/Ozzy votes at the least. Amanda can kind of do what she did in China. Follow strategically, empower her 3-person alliance, and hopefully this time she can finish the job and win the jury over. She'll need at least 1 more vote, and with a possible Parvati backstabbing Alexis/Natalie, then it'll be a battle between Cirie and her to soak up those votes

This jury seems like it will have several unforgiving bitter jurors, so Parvati is going to have her work cut out for her if she wants to win this game. She's going to have a squeaker Todd win if she does, otherwise I see Amanda or Cirie winning this. Based on editing though, I would say Amanda isn't winning. So I'm really excited about who is going to win this and what's going to happen. I'm not spoiled and Probst said this season is full of blindsides, so I think anything can happen. Strategically, it looks like a F3 of women (Alexis/Natalie/Parvati or Cirie/Amanda/Parvati), but we all know anything can happen. The idol creates VERY interesting underdog dynamics that can certainly completely shift power around, which is why I love it. Getting rid of the idol is kind of pointless at times, because it just means someone else gets it, and that new holder might be a bigger threat than the one who originally had it. Additionally, the new holder may be unknown which can really screw things up. The girls were very smart strategize so thoroughly in order to control the situation and neutralize Jason's idol. However, now, maybe someone like James may become the next holder or something. So I'm really loving how these new dynamics are shaping up

The other good thing about a potential female winner is that their editing tends to be more diverse (all the men have been CP or MOR I believe; no UTRs right?). So I really have no clue which female is taking it to the end. If I listen to edgic's extremely broad criteria of what constitutes a winning edit, then my instincts are that Parvati will win. For that to happen, my guess is that Parvati will go to F3 with Alexis/Natalie where the anti-Parvati votes might be split by those ladies, and Parvati will get the respect of the jury for being the last Favorite standing since she'll stand out as more of an individual versus Natalie/Alexis. I'm guessing this is Parvati's true strategy, but who knows? Maybe she wants to go with Cirie and Amanda. I'm starting to really think she has jumped ship permanently though

Speaking of Cirie, from her UTR 1st episode, I thought she wasn't going to win. But her edit has been amazing and complex since then, so I've sort of wavered on her. It's crossed my mind that maybe she's getting the Tina treatment. However, now that I think Parvati might go to the end with Natalie/Alexis, I don't think so. I'm starting to think that Cirie is becoming the narrator and quasi-Shii Ann or Cesternino of the season. However, the things that make me think Parvati won't win is that (1) bitter jurors, (2) Jeff calling her an "Amber" pre-game. If she wins, it's kinda, "Way to spoil the ending there Probst". (3) Parvati has gotten some negative edits, where she could be getting the Stephenie treatment. Like, yes she is complex and not totally evil, but you backstabbed too much and that is why Alexis/Natalie/Amanda won this game. I'd say those 3 ladies could be a possible Danni winner. I will say that my prediction is going towards Parvati as the winner though. Her edit has been complex enough where she's been portrayed both positively and negatively, and gotten very steady air-time with her cool-downs not really making us "forget" her. If Amanda wins, she will be the closest thing to Danni like ever. Both beautiful strong and smart brunettes playing the UTR Kingmaker game. Alexis/Natalie's airtime seem to sparse and if I believe edgic's "complex tribe" theory, then I don't know if they can win this. If Cirie wins, then she will be kind of like Tina + Hatch to me in terms of her winning edit. 1 thing I love about F3 is that it makes it so much harder to predict a winner and makes end-game strategies somewhat more difficult. Like, you can't just worry about being more likable than 1 contender or soaking up someone's hater jury votes. You have to worry about where certain bitter jury votes are going and going to the end with opponents who may have had 2 opposite approaches. For instance, if Parvati goes to the end with Cirie/Amanda, she has to worry that Cirie will appeal to jurors who respect underdogs or overt game control and Amanda will appeal to those who valued loyalty or subtle game control strategies. If James/Ozzy were still in the game, then people would have to worry about highly respected alpha male type winner threats. With F2s, the goat strategy just tends to be flat out more reliable and the way to go. With F3s, that option isn't necessarily going to be there

1 of the men might win somehow, but right now, I'm not seeing it. With Amanda empowering the women, I don't know how much Erik and James are going to be able to pull any kind of coup unless they start using the idol to explode and fracture the female alliances like crazy. Very glad Erik survived! Erik has really grown on me of the Fans, and I hope he does well. Natalie exploded this ep! I thought she'd be consigned to become Darrah 2.0, but she reminds me of Stacy's bitchy break-out episode, but bigger, better and later. This is exactly why I like UTR edits. She's been completely INV/UTR up until now, so now that they've given her a lot of air-time in 1 sitting, they can make her into any character they want. Whereas she might've been a lame MOR every episode and not stood out at all because the editors were trying to meet some sort of editing quota. Natalie has turned into the Ami of Vanuatu feminazi of Micronesia and I love that! I love that she is playing hard and snarky. Jason was the bumbling underdog, Erik is the naive, nice guy, and Alexis has been the sweetheart. James is of course James, complete with "Don't bite the apple" confessionals, social awkwardness, bluntness, and subtitles . I think the best part of last episode concerning James was the irony that this time he was SAVED by an idol blindside. I'm going to assume that was the "biggest mistake" Probst was talking about pre-game. But heck, with this season, who knows? I was laughing so much at Alexis and Parvati's chemistry. I've always thought Parvati was an awesome character and had faith in her abilities and persona, and when people trash her for being boring, stupid, or slutty it just never made sense to me. I also love how she brought back Cook Islands when she did her black widow confessional. I'd say Cirie has surprised me the most though. I knew the woman was smart, but she has really managed to exceed my expectations and prove she didn't just get lucky that Casaya was a trainwreck back in Panama. Instead of being Tina 2.0, she's once again managed to infiltrate her way into the mix of things and is approaching the end game. Will she win? I'd say she ends up around 4th or 5th place again like Exile Island. However, she can certainly prove me wrong, and I wouldn't be shocked at all. If she somehow makes it into the finals, she will be a serious winning contender. With the family reward episode coming up, I wonder if we'll see her "hunny bunny" again lol
