Personal pet peeve is referring to him as "da Vinci" (rather than Leonardo) but since that dreaded book, I've simply given up. Haha, yes, Dominique is exactly like that fat whore in Nights of Cabiria, except I sorta loved her, but sorta hate Dominique. Although I must admit I like that she seems to be able to laugh at herself.

He did work in Rome at some point in his life. Anyway, I saw the church where he was baptized and it was in Pisa (also in Tuscany). Maybe Tyra should do herself up like a TMNT.

Their make-up was terrible - all of the model's faces were at least 2x lighter than their actual skin tone. Fatima's teeth and that square pekinese smile just make me shudder...

But come to think of it, I can't think of any Roman works off the top of my head, well female ones (and at this point it's actually somewhat commendable that she exercised enough restraint not to do herself up as Michelangelo's God from the Sistine Chapel), that would be as recognizable. I'd let it slide, except seems we'll be having to look at that stupid thing from here on out.

Having made my way from museum to museum through Europe, I really can't remember much specific art in Rome other than at the Vatican museums --the Sistine Chapel and the Pieta are the only real "standout" works there. Oh, and Michelangelo's Moses at San Pietro in Vincolo. But it's mostly all stautary, or fountains, and religious in tone -- not exactly something even this show would sink to using. We didn't bother with either the Capitoline or the Borghese.

Such a sweetheart, such a ditz, such a klutz, such a model... with that makeover she should've been gone, but she has really shown how to model. I'll cry if she doesn't win. Kat was great last night. I like that she took the judges' notes and stepped it up, and I think she should be F3 at worst. We shall see, though. Fatima wasn't as great as she was cracked up to be, but she did well in speaking on the commercial (seemed very awkward on-camera, though). I would love to see her besides Anya in the F2. Whitney is such a ogress. I hate that bitch. And Dominque... ah, dear Dom. I love that the judges knew she sucked, and straight up said it, but that they were keeping her anyway. She has entertainment value up the ying-yang and I hope to high heaven that she outlasts Whitney. ... Lauren was terrible and deserved to die.

Yes - her head got really, really big a long time ago when she started making millions of $$$$$ for the CW with ANTM and her lowbrow talk show. You know what cracked me up about the cheesy jet plane photo shoot and Tyra's feigned (or real?) snottiness at judging about how "we get to fly private charter" while y'all have to fly coach: the hyprocrisy of it all since Tyra is such a total cheapskate in real life and would probably never waste her own money flying private charter. The set of her super tacky-looking talk show spells CHEAP. The house in New York for this season's ANTM cast looked CHEAP beyond belief with those awful bunk beds and the flimsy blue curtains separating the "bedroom" area from the bathroom. If Bravo's "Make Me a Supermodel" forked out some dough to lease a fancy pad for its contestants, Tyra should have done the same for the new New York location.

Those commercials were just hilarious. I'm finally warming to some of these girls - Anya's awesome, even if she does need some depilatory treatment, stat. Fatima did an awesome job on the commercial despite looking like she had a gigantic blue glowing head because the lighting wasn't set up for her skin tone. I thought Kat did the best though - despite it being a little boring she had the best eye contact and delivery. They're hammering in that 'boring' stuff so hard though, I'm sure she'll be gone soon because she's 'just not showing enough personality'. Which translates to, Tyra hates her for some reason and has asked to have any funny moments with Kat edited out. And damn Lauren to hell for sucking even worse than Dominique and Whitney, who could have easily gone if she hadn't filmed the worst ANTM commercial, ever. Both of their commercials were ludicrous, and if Whitney somehow wins after that (on top of all her other mediocre performances), I really think it'll be an even bigger heap of bullshit than Dogleasha's win.
