Uh...yeah? The fundamental concept of the entire show? Since...day....1? Have we missed something? It's never not been a popularity contest. Hate it when it favors someone you don't like and like it when it favors someone you like? That makes a lot of sense..Just accept what it is and move the fuck on.

Keeping Brooke around to watch her descend deeper & deeper into madness is the best part of the show. She's like Sanjaya - same goofy hair, same inability to perform on stage. True, Sanjaya didn't break down mentally like Paula wannabe Brooke is - but Simon broke down enough trying to get him kicked off to make up for it. I'm waiting for Brooke to have a 'Scanners' moment when her bubble head literally explodes. Pity her poor husband who has to live with that kook every day. But then again maybe he's as nutty as her.

Everyone else is soulless and robotic. Brooke is COLORFUL <3 I find her psychotic and over the top reactions to be refreshing actually. You know all the other bitches who get critiqued go backstage and bawl their little eyes out anyway.

IN YOUR FACE, CARLY - ok somebody said up there that Carly directed the "I didn't forget the words" to herself, but I didn't interpret it like that at the time, I thought it was the bitchiest thing EVER and just for her attitude I thought she deserved to go. Now, in retrospect, even if she wasn't refering to Brooke, it was a pretty dumb thing to say. My guess is a lot of people interpreted it like I did. Ok, back to Brooke. It was terribly uncomfortable to watch the performance the first time - but when I rewatched it, it wasn't as bad and I realize how incredibly hard it must be to restart without messing up again. I'm sooooo soooo glad she gets to stay for Neil Diamond week!! Her voice is perfect for his songs. I just really hope she isn't struck with survivor's guilt. That would be an added stresser. It just cracks me up - her timing for an unprecedented mess-up was perfect. VFTW people didn't seem so eager to vote for her before, but her re-start rekindled that VFTW passion.

I've hated Brooke with a burning passion for about three weeks, but i'm back on the love train. Honestly, how could you NOT love that performance? Brooke is the best trainwreck contestant this year, and she's the only exciting one. Everyone else is fucking dull as dishwater. I'm tellin' ya, it's an Archie/Brooke F2. The same-slot Top 24 curse will take affect once again, after succeeding with Carrie/Bo, Taylor/Kat and Jordin/Blake.
