I think Syesha is proving the point that she has what everyone else (except David Cook of course) doesn't have - and that's performing ability. The rest of the "talented" people do have talent (piano, guitar, uke), but they never mastered the stage performing aspect. Syesha showed it during "The One", so there's no surprise there. I think that in going for something completely different this year (much more depth in personal music ability, artistry) we didn't get the "wow" performers. People who know how to come out and give it to you on stage. Some were kicked off too early (Alexandrea, Alaina, David). They may not have more actual music talent than whose left, but they were better performers. That's why the show has been pretty boring to me overall. And these themes don't help these people. Themes (like Broadway) help the stage performers moreso than the "gifted artist".
