Joe is unbelievable. I can feel somewhat sympathetic since I know how hard it is to break out of habits and you can see that persona he has is one that's been built up through an entire life but he needs to put more of an effort to be more accepting. It's not about compromising his beliefs. It's about becoming a more rounded person.
Those two things were purposeful and thought out cruelty ... his spitting was disgusting, but the first two were much worse things to do.

Seriously though, I never really care about the makeovers but
that one blew me away. I didn't believe it until he started talking, which was also surreal. He really did look just like Ryan Gosling.
