I downloaded Analog Heart today from Amazong and it's FANTASTIC! I have to say David Cook is rivaling my first season love for the Kelster! He just keeps getting better and better to me.... my only bitch is that every time I go to vote for him it says I can't due to network difficulties....

Not just an independent album. If they didn't boot her, they certainly aren't going to boot David. Like I said, I'm not crazy about the fact that every contestant this season is a professional. But it's too late to do anything about it this season. If they want to make changes they can do it in the off season.

If they aren't booting Carly for having a full-blown recording contract with a major label and millions spent on her, then they aren't going to boot Cook for that. And as for Brooke, i'm pretty sure hers came from an independent label, too. Correct me if i'm wrong. Jason's the only non-professional left you could say, but even he's had a lot of experience. Ironic that four of the five "non-plants" this year were booted in a row, David H./Amanda/Jacuzzi/Ramiele.

I mean, if they wrote an article about how this season of idol seems to have more "professionals" than raw talent, then that would be understandable, but to single out David Cook for making an independent CD in 2006, at a friends house, no less, and not even mention any of the other contestants CD's. This is just ridiculous.
