I'm kind of shocked how horrible the acting has gotten. Six of One was painful to watch. Even usually stellar performers just seemed to be mailing it in and the story went no where. Kara is let out to go find Earth? That's the big climax? *yawn* The scenes between Tory and Baltar were laughable. Rekha Sharma was out of her depth trying to emote. Stick to her being a yes-woman for the prez. She is easily the weakest recurring character/actress on the show. |

I think the actors do the best with the script they're given. The dialogue has always been the weak point of this series.
I blame the writers more than the actors. |

Meh. The acting's never bothered me. They can't all be on Mary McDonnell's level. Plus I think Tori got brought up from the minors once the
writers cooked up the F5 toasters idea.
In retrospect, it was an oddly flat ep, though. I guess they needed an exposition ep. |

I personally thought Stands-With-a-Fist's scene with Adama transcended sycamore-tier acting and found myself wondering how she hasn't won multiple

I for one have not noticed how bad the acting was. I thought Tory did a great job in last seasons final episode. I was excited that her role was getting
stepped up. I don't even think that the scripts are that bad...I'm not looking for the best writing on television but I think that it is pretty darn
good.

4.3 Recap:
Callie was nuts BEFORE she tailed Tyrol to the Cylon meetup with Tori and Tigh - strung out on not enough sleep, a small child and anti-depressants. Callie then goes even further off the deep end by putting a beat down on Tyrol, grabbing Nicky and heading for the nearest airlock. Tori shows up and talks her down by playing up the keep Nicky safe angle and then clubs and airlocks Callie when they are in the control room. Adama gives Tyrol the sad, completely wrong, version of what happened to his wife. Starbuck seems to have gotten the best and the brightest of the pilots and crew of the Galactica - Helo, Athena, Sam, Gaeta, the chick I never remember her name and a few other whiny grunts that are probably going to bite it sooner rather than later. Starbuck goes in for the solitude of her quarters, mapping the way back to Earth, painting her favorite pattern above her bunk, pushing Sam away again while asking to be frakked again and again. She claims that her body isn't even her anymore that she is an alien that exists outside of it and she is just attached to it somehow. She asks Sam if that is crazy? I'm thinking Sam has way crazier things on his mind, what with him being a frakking Cylon and all. Lee gets sworn in as a junior rep for Caprica in the government. Tom Zarek presents him with charges that Roslin is acting outside the bounds of that government. We are now in full on Cylon Civil War. Cavil wakes up in the goo, finds out all about the Six's and the Eight's rebellion against the Raider lobotomization, makes nice all diplomatic style, agrees that the Three's should be unboxed and asked about what they know about the final five, then proceed to take out the ship with the Six's and the Eight's on them with no hope of downloading - they are dead dead. Boomer gets weepy over killing her sisters but does nothing to stop the annihilation of them. I presume that more Six's and Eight's exist on other base ships a few jumps away, but these Six's and Eight's are gone forever with all of their thoughts and memories. 17 more hours left.

I was beginning to think that Tory was irredeemably boring. I think it would be interesting if she was pregnant with Baltar's love child.

Something I noticed last night, and I don't know if it is intentional, or not. But when Natalie and her brigade jumped, right before they got their basestars blown up, the stars in the background were the constellation Orion. very clearly, in fact. Correct me if I am wrong, please, but I think that constellations are only seen as we see them on earth - move further out into space (theoretically) and they would no longer look as we see them. Could the cylon fleet be closer to earth than we think they are? Or am I crazy? |

1. Have always loved Tory. But last night she placed herself near the top of my list. Cally has irritated the shit out of me since the initial miniseries. To
have my girl Tory waste her was fucking precious.
2. It was mentioned above, but Starbuck sure as hell got just about every established Viper Pilot on Galactica: Helo, Athena, Seelix, Anders (and she also got Gaeta). And some guy who I don't think I've ever seen before - is he new? Guess that means only Hot Dog and Racetrack (the two most underdeveloped recurring characters on the show, who prolly coulda used a little Starbuck storyline) are the only two established Viper Pilots left on the Big Ship. 3. Noooooooooooo! Not Natalie Six. Frakking dug her. Hope she managed a jump. I'd hate to lose such a badass Six after only two eps of her greatness. 4. Looking forward to seeing Six beat the shit out of Tigh...and the reappearance of the always troublesome Ellen Tigh! 5. The Boomer/Cavil kiss was so NOT sexy. Dean Stockwell deserves pussy his own age. And that is it. I'd personally like to thank the director for NOT showing his geriatric man tits when he was reborn. 6. Was looking forward to seeing the Number Three's unboxed, but I had a feeling it was a ruse. It was way too easy to convince the Cavil's to change their minds. Bummer. 7. Finally - good riddance Cally. Never liked you, thought you were a weak actress, hated your screechy voice and your character generally annoyed the shit out of me. That said - you got a great final eppy, and you went out with a bang. Or, er - a *whoooosh*. But, regardless - good stuff, and a great exit for a regular character on the show.

I finally got to watch it. I hope they can get Natalie back in some form, since there wasn't a res ship within range. One last thing - Helo should be hot
and sweaty in a tank top in every episode. That is all.
