However one thing not related to the spoiler board is that all the way back at the swap and before Cirie was shown to be openly plotting against Cirie when people were going around saying Cirie had a Steph edit that I didn't see that. I said that if anyone had a Steph edit it was Ozzie. he had the same mixture of fan adulation and negative arrogance. Signs of Ozzy's departure and its means were obvious in the editing for a very long time, not just recently.

This wouldn't be a problem for Parvati if her edit is such that she wins by default. However her comments suggest that if she wins it will be because she is strong. Ditto with Cirie. The choices that the editors make fit in with a Cirie mastermind win but not with a Parvati mastermind win.

Basically Parvati talks about playing hard, being strong etc. but she is not *shown* as being in control and being a strategic mastermind. She is not really showing being a strong leader of the tribe in any other way either which doesn't fit in with the suggestions that she wins because she is strong. A possible reason for the disconnect between the suggestions of how she might win and the lack of evidence to support it is as people have suggested her strategic play makes her lose in the end - she overplays and faces a bitter jury. She *tries* to win by being a strong player but fails.

I don't hold with putting too much emphasis on a single comment but it does strike me that this episode aligns well with Jonathan's comment that by allying with Cirie Parvati is like a sheep being taken to slaughter. The question back when Cirie allied with the showmances was and this was at the heart of the exchange between Jonathan and Eliza - who is really in charge? Who is going to the queen bee and who is going to slaughter who with the obvious implication that the follower is going to get screwed? The question people have to ask is in the Cirie + Parvati dynamic who has shown being in charge strategically and controlling events and who has been shown being a follower and very possibly getting slaughtered i.e. copping the flack?

Also to add the way they built up Cirie's boot of Ozzie makes it different from Amanda's boot of James which was a distraction. They built up Cirie's boot of Ozzie since Episode 2. They put tremendous energy and effort into this. Incidentally it is also why we don't get hit over the head this episode with why Cirie wants to boot out Ozzie and what it means to her strategically. We've been shown that in detail since Episode 2. Cirie wants to boot Ozzie because she wants to break up the showmances because they are too powerful. Separately she is not too worried but together she is worried about their power. She makes a pact with the girls then she targets Ozzie because he is arrogant and she dislikes him. The editors in fact have gone to tremendous effort throughout the season to show us exactly why Cirie wants to boot Ozzie for both strategic and personal reasons and how she went about doing it. We know exactly why she is doing what she is doing since they spent the entire season explaining it in minute detail. In fact one could argue that a large part of the reason why Ozzie was portrayed as so negative and arrogant was because they were building up to this boot. Amanda's boot of James was out of the blue. As I said before it is all about the sheer amount of energy the editors put into things and consistency that is the difference between a winner and a distraction.
