I think the TV Guide's mention of Jason's moronic move and Jeff's biggest blunder are one and the same. CBS seems to be really into storytelling this season, so I'm going to assume that they want this episode to be about the fall of the dumb-ass. (Or maybe I'm just being hopeful? I'm NOT a Jason fan!) And it's interesting that most people automatically assume the Ozzy's downfall is going to be related to the HII, when really it could be his success. (Is that me being hopeful again?) Should be a great episode. -April

The HII having more impact than ever before is not necessarily negative. I think that's just a slant given by the individual readers. I am an auditor (accountant) so I like to think I can be analytical and see that what is said/written is open to interpretation and try to ignore any bias of my own in favour of the facts as stated. I think the facts are: There's a blunder. The idol plays a big part in the game. The rest is conjecture. I don't think Ozzy or Jason are going to win (or Eric for that matter) - but that's based on interpretation not fact.

I feel sorry for this kid now, because if this all goes down as JP says it's going to go down a)there's no suspense for us, the informed viewers, and b) Jason is stuck with this "Survivor Moron" label for the rest of his adult life. I mean...that's harsh...He's just a kid...But he did interrupt Jeff TWICE (that we saw) and...well... It's one thing for him to be called a Douche Kabob(as in Siska-kabob) over and over in thread after thread in Sucks....where such things can be laughed off...but in TV Guide???? I guess there's no other way to play this except for comic value...and he's got to live with his actions...Jenna M. was pretty harshly dealt with, too, in Amazon, but of course, she had the consolation of winning A MILLION DOLLARS..."The Stick" is going to stick with Jason all his adult life...and now THIS! But don't worry Jason, Orangeena loves you!"

Capital letters. They do have more impact than I think they've ever had. They have more impact this season than ever before. Luckily for James, James currently holds the title of biggest blunder in Survivor history. Luckily for him, he only holds it for one season. Because we have someone this season that makes an even bigger blunder. A major blunder. I know when it happened that James was thinking, thank God. Further FWIW, the "blunder" and the playing of the real HII IMO are totally separate. If you look at paragraph that says Fake Idol is Found that is totally separate from "Jason/Dumbest Move" The real idol is played and is HUGE in how it is played, period the end The "stupid move" is not about the REAL idol, it is a separate paragraph and Jeff only says that James won't feel bad about his blunder; IOW he is equating what James did as a blunder (not about the HII's that James didn't play but rather just what James did was stupid) compared to what is done this season I also think since the blurb about someone finding the fake idol and "you just know somebody's gonna play it" is also a separate subject; it is mentioned under Fake Idol while the "stupid move" is under "dumbest move" We saw the fake idol played - done We are now waiting for the stupid move - Jason sacrifices himself at the IC - you can't not do it at a challenge, it says a promise is made to the whole tribe. Idiot lets immunity fall from his grasp when he would win (such a Big Brother situation) and gets completely screwed. Does it sound like a big blunder compared to James? Think about this, you are on your way to win immunity, you are there and you give it up by extracting promises from your tribe that you will be safe? Come on! That is idiocy in the first degree. We then have the real idol and how it is played which is the "biggest drama" and will cause our jaws to drop - that obviously has not happened yet and may not happen for awhile.

I'm not convinced that, in this type of challenge, you are ever "on your way to win". Maybe in something like a race, where you are one inch from the finish line and everyone else is miles away. But here, even if you feel like you could go on for hours, and everyone else left appears to be struggling, you just never know when a wasp is going to fly up your nose or something.

Obviously the person who made the pact made it with more than one person and it was done openly. It's been said that Jeff doesn't like to get beforehand info about what's going on around camp life so it doesn't affect how he interviews the contestants at challenges or at TC and too that he might accidentally give something away on someone. So....this has got to be a pact that was made right there at the IC. Jason is arrogant and cocky right now having just beat Ozzy at one of his own challenges so he's probably feeling rather invincible and thinks he's going to walk away with this one too. This one set of pics going around shows Ozzy and Alexis struggling and Jason looks as cool as a cucumber. Are they the last three standing or is that a pic of Jason at the beginning of the challenge and Alexis and Ozzy at the end of the challenge?

Grammatically it leaves something to be desired but essentially I was saying you CAN do it at the challenge which is what I think is done I'm not convinced that, in this type of challenge, you are ever "on your way to win". Watch Big Brother, trust me there are plenty of instances when someone is on the way to a win; it is glaringly apparent when someone is NOT going to let go and others are ready to die.

Note: 4/24 is NEXT week's episode, so Jason does his moronic thing next week and doesn't get booted this week. Jason gives ozzy his word that he is with him from here on out, ozzy convices the 4 men that they must stick together or they will be voted out 1 by 1 the wohmens have zee advantage. At this point the men realize that either Eric or James are the target, and Ozzy starts to play people, he now has the II, so he is safe and can try things and not worry short term. He convices Jason to give the idol to whomever is being voted either James or Eric. Jason does so believing his new alliance is strong and that this will keep it intact and even the numbers. ozzy then goes to his (former) alliance and says Jason no longer has the idol (more than likely James will have it so Ozzy and the original alliance maintain the idol) They group votes Jason out. Blunder Jason gets played hardcore by ozzy believing he has made a strong allinace that will even the game out and get him to the finals were he can cut his hero's throat. he goes home. Ozzy, and his allinace have to decide wether or not to break alliances and vote eric, james, or jason.

But I'm having a hard time squaring a hardcore Ozzy strategy move with the edit Ozzy has gotten up to now - a little more aware of strategy and the social game than in his first season, but arrogant (and two-timing) rather than effective.
